Sime Darby Industrial Sdn BhdTo manage the scope of responsibility for Health, Safety & Environment in accordance with the business operations of Sime Darby Industrial and client site requirements.
Ensure all applicable legal, ESH Management System and SDI requirements are identified and complied with.
Coordinate and monitor compliance to Group ESH policy, SDISB policy, vision, GPA B4 (ESH), strategies and expectations.
To prepare and submit weekly and monthly HSE performance reports for SDISB’s management review and client submission.
To conduct site inspections and prepare inspection reports to determine whether any machinery, plant, or equipment may cause injury to personnel at the workplace or pollution to the environment, including findings and corrective and preventive actions.
To attend weekly HSE meetings, HSE Committee meetings, Risk Assessment Method Statement (RAMS) workshops, and other related meetings when required.
Become the secretary of the secretary of the ESH Committee and to conduct the internal HSE Committee meetings with subcontractors when the total manpower meets the regulatory requirement.
To ensure safety induction, High Risk Activity (HRA) training, RAMS training and other relevant HSE trainings are conducted in accordance with the approved HSE Training Plan.
To ensure all contractors and subcontractors comply with client site HSE requirements at all times.
To attend and participate in weekly and monthly site walk activities.
Monitor high-risk activities such as lifting operations, work at height, hot work, confined space entry etc.
To conduct incident investigations in accordance with the Incident Notification and Investigation procedure. To ensure incident corrective actions are followed up on and completed.
Ensure effective Emergency Preparedness and Response Plans have been developed, implemented at project site.
To organize ESH programs at the workplace.
To maintain statistics on accidents, dangerous occurrences, occupational diseases and occurrence and waste generation.
To monitor permit to work at project site as required.
Coordinate and monitor implementations of safety culture including Daily Toolbox / Right to Start, EHS Observation Reporting (Positive & Negative), Take 5, Permit to Access, Job Safety & Environmental Analysis (JSEA), Risk Assessment Method Statement (RAMS) and Life Saving Commitment (LSC).
