The Role
Plan, deliver and evaluate in-person, hybrid and virtual corporate events and hospitality aligned to BD strategy. Manage end-to-end logistics, suppliers, budgets, invitations/RSVPs, CRM integration and post-event reporting. Work with BD, Brand and senior stakeholders to ensure compliant, on-brand, high-quality client experiences; attend events including occasional overseas travel.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to support the planning, execution and evaluation of high-quality corporate hospitality, in person and virtual events that support the firm’s strategic objectives, help strengthen client relationships and enhance market profile.
This role operates as part of a newly created centralised events unit and will work closely with the Business Development, Brand and Marketing Communications teams as well as Partners, Directors and senior fee earners, to deliver high-quality innovative and impactful events execution aligned with agreed business development strategies, plans, budgets and target markets across the firm.
Key Responsibilities
Event strategy and planning
- Work with key members of the Business Development team to develop and deliver an events programme aligned with service line plans and priorities and target markets
- Actively contribute ideas for innovative event formats, venues and experiences that differentiate the firm in target markets and maximise client engagement through events and corporate hospitality
- Help manage adherence to standardised workflows, governance processes and event best practices
- Research and assess requests from BDM team colleagues and fee earners regarding event ideas in alignment with existing strategy and provide informed recommendations on event formats and delivery approaches to maximise impact and ROI
- Ensure all events comply with firm policies and standards, including financial and budget controls, brand guidelines and relevant regulatory and reputational considerations
Event delivery
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of a broad range of events including:
- Ogier seminars, webinars, conferences, thought leadership events, roundtables (in-person, hybrid and virtual) and exhibition stands at industry conferences
- client entertainment and corporate hospitality
- Provide event support across the firm, in line with agreed service levels and quality standards across jurisdictions
- Coordinate all event logistics including venues, suppliers, catering, production, branding and merchandise / gifts where applicable working closely with the Brand and Marketing Communications teams to ensure consistent branding, messaging and campaign integration
- Manage budgets and actively monitor spend against agreed allocations; identify opportunities to optimise cost efficiency while maintaining high-quality delivery and client experience
- Attend events where required to oversee delivery, manage stakeholders and ensure high standards. This may require overseas travel
- Manage invitations, RSVPs and attendance tracking ensuring effective integration of invitations, attendance tracking and CRM data capture to support client intelligence and BD activity
- Produce post-event reports including attendance analysis, budget tracking and key insights to inform future activity
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Candidate must have 3–4 years’ experience in an events role, with responsibility for planning and delivering a broad range of corporate events simultaneously, including logistics, supplier coordination, budgeting, invitations and attendee management
- Experience using relevant systems and platforms, including CRM, email marketing and event management tools
- Tech savvy with high proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and geographies
- Experience of managing virtual and hybrid events and use of digital/event technology platforms is desirable
- Experience of working in a fast-paced professional services or corporate environment, with an understanding of the standards and expectations associated with a client-focused business and how events support client development and business outcomes
- Proven ability to build strong working relationships with senior stakeholders, including Partners, Directors and other senior members of the business
- Ability to manage stakeholder expectations effectively, including prioritisation and competing requests
- Confident working with multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational and communication skills with a high level of attention to detail - ability to deliver high-quality work and meet deadlines
- Strong client service mindset with focus on delivering high quality, on brand experiences
