About the Role

This role contributes to the delivery of customer outcomes that are reliable, thoughtful, and create meaningful impact for customers and society. The role holder is expected to embed a customer first mindset in all decisions and actions by developing a clear understanding of customer needs, taking end to end ownership to resolve issues, and working collaboratively across teams to continuously enhance the customer journey—both directly and indirectly.
As a Senior Enterprise Architect, this role will be a strategic one with technical depth to pioneer advance solutions including to lead exploration, standardization, and framework development for the AI, digital, data and cloud architecture domains. The role will operate across all architecture domains at enterprise level with an end-to-end design view to establish credible roadmap for implementation. The role is responsible for leading the AI architecture team and ensuring that the architecture aligns with enterprise and IT goals.

Roles and Responsibilities:


Functional Duties (100%)

  • Lead the AI architecture team and ensuring that the architecture aligns with enterprise and IT goals
  • Develop architecture strategies, best practices, and standards for enterprise usecases. Create architecture strategies and roadmap technology platforms and stacks.
  • Design and develop architecture for enterprise usecases including data ingestion, preprocessing, and scaled model computation, ensuring all SLAs are met with monitoring systems to track model performance and data quality.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues related to machine learning model deployments and data pipelines, developing innovative solutions.
  • Analyze business priorities & strategies and translate these into architecture requirements for the operational enterprise and propose to the business on strategic architecture framework development
  • Provide Enterprise Architecture design thinking and support to the Enterprise Architecture team members, Technology Delivery IT and business team, with a focus on business and application architecture
  • Contribute to the definition of architecture strategy, direction, and standards pertinent for technology solution delivery. Ensure architecture strategy aligns to the overall IT strategy and clearly communicated and understood among IT teams on delivery
  • Be an active architecture team member and contribute to the architecture community on architecture roadmaps, blueprints and architecture building blocks development with domain leads
  • Participate in Architecture assessment and reviews partnering with subject matter expert
  • Ensure implementation and migration plan with risk management, business cost and benefit with intended values on work packages to be delivered
  • Ensure ethical, secure, and compliant use of GenAI in line with industry standards, architecture standard and HK regulatory guidelines.

Minimum Job Requirements:


Education & Experience

  • Educated to degree level standard or above in information technology, computer science, engineering, or relevant field
  • 12+ years in an architect role ideally with insurance and/or health provider industry experiences with a desire to assume greater responsibilities as a leader and mentor, while remaining hands-on
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in architecture design and implementation for large-scale enterprise solutions, and 2+ years heads-on experience on AI
  • Experience influencing solution direction and standard adoption using architecture capability, building blocks, strategies and roadmaps
  • Experience work in complex IT environments, and able to prioritize and plan complex work in a rapidly changing context
  • Team player with experience leading and collaborating cross-team to ensure successful delivery of solutions
  • Experience with LLM integration, prompt engineering, and AI model governance. (E.g. RAG, AI data capture, Agentic AI, MCP protocol)
  • Familiarity with insurance-specific GenAI applications (e.g., policy summarization, chatbot assistants, fraud detection).

 

Technical Skills

  • Enterprise & Solution Architecture Design (30%)
    Ability to define end-to-end architecture, roadmaps, standards, and building blocks for large-scale enterprise platforms.
  • AI / GenAI Architecture & Integration (30%)
    Hands-on experience with AI solution design, including LLM integration, RAG, prompt engineering, agentic AI, and production deployment patterns.
  • Cloud, Data & Platform Engineering (20%)
    Strong knowledge of cloud-native architecture, data ingestion, preprocessing, scalable model computation, and performance monitoring.
  • Architecture Governance, Security & Compliance (10%)
    Ability to enforce architecture standards, risk controls, and regulatory/compliance requirements, including secure and ethical AI usage.
