Tasks and Qualifications:What You Will do in This Role:
Leadership & Strategy
- Develop, communicate, and execute the Industrial Engineering strategy aligned to site and global business objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of industrial engineers across multiple shifts or sites.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and operational excellence.
- Influence cross-functional leaders and drive alignment for engineering initiatives and improvement programs.
Process Optimization
- Analyze workflows, material flow, and production lines to identify improvement opportunities and remove waste.
- Conduct time studies, line balancing, capacity analysis, and ergonomic assessments to ensure optimal performance.
- Define and implement standardized work, manufacturing best practices, and performance metrics.
- Lead Kaizen events and structured problem-solving sessions (A3, DMAIC, 5 Why, etc.).
Technology & Innovation
- Evaluate, introduce, and deploy automation solutions, advanced manufacturing technologies, and Industry 4.0 tools.
- Utilize data analytics, dashboards, and simulation models to predict bottlenecks and optimize plant performance.
- Support digital transformation initiatives, ensuring successful adoption of new technologies.
Cost, Productivity & Capital Projects
- Deliver measurable improvements in labor productivity, throughput, cycle time, and operational cost reduction.
- Lead layout redesigns, capacity planning, and process flow optimization for current and future state operations.
- Support capital investment projects including ROI analysis, layout creation, and equipment specification.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives through waste elimination, efficiency improvements, and automation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with operations, quality, maintenance, supply chain, and engineering to ensure seamless execution of initiatives.
- Provide industrial engineering support for New Product Introduction (NPI), new equipment installation, and plant expansions.
- Act as a strategic partner to leadership, escalating risks and proposing solutions with strong data-driven rationale.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Industrial Engineering roles within a manufacturing environment (high-mix/complex operations preferred).
- Proven experience leading engineering teams, ideally across multiple sites or a large-scale operation.
- Strong expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt preferred), and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Demonstrated success driving large-scale productivity and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and program management skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish (bilingual required).
