Team: Core Engineering Reliability Team
Team Focus: Proactive and Reactive Incident management and Post-incident management to prevent major incidents and reduce Time to Detect, Time to Recover, and Time to Communicate to customers. This is a Level 1 OKR for the company.

  • Lead a team of 12-15 engineers (frontend, backend, data, and process) in the Core Engineering Reliability Team.
  • Focus on proactive and reactive incident management to prevent major incidents and reduce detection, recovery, and communication times.
  • Manage technical leads and engineers to build tools and processes used across the organisation and operate services that enhance incident management.
  • Develop and implement advanced incident management protocols.
  • Minimise downtime and improve recovery times through system development.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams across the company to integrate incident management processes smoothly.
  • Use data and feedback to improve incident management practices.
  • Communicate incident status and resolution efforts to customers, enhancing trust and satisfaction.

Your Background:

  • 5+ years of experience managing large software engineering teams (typically more than 10 engineers).
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Computer Science
  • Proficiency in one or more prominent programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, React) with experience leading teams that develop scalable services.
  • Understanding of the SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS industries, with hands-on experience in public cloud offerings (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Ability to evaluate trade-offs between correctness, robustness, performance, and overall operational excellence
