As an Engineering Leader, you will be in charge of hiring, onboarding, growing, and mentoring your Team leaders and Tech leads while working closely with our Product team to build and execute on a roadmap of exciting features. You should be passionate about people management as well as software engineering and building a product end-to-end, as your teams will be responsible for owning the dev cycle from the technical design, through coding and testing, to deployment and monitoring. We work in a true continuous delivery environment with fully automated QA processes on a microservices architecture, deploying to production dozens of times every day.
Base salary for this role ranges from $195,500 - $265,405 USD per year. We will consider candidates who reside in the U.S. and Canada.
Job Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a group leader - managing managers, preferably on a dynamic, fast-paced startup.
- 10+ years' engineering experience with an emphasis on data and/or infrastructure.
- Experience with SingleStore, Postgres, SQL, Snowflake, AWS, and Spark.
- Excellent knowledge of software design and scalable web architecture.
- Proven experience designing, integrating, and managing APIs across multiple third-party systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and secure data exchange.
- People's person with strong leadership skills who can motivate and build a winning team.
- Independent, resourceful, and proactive team player with a desire to impact our team, our product, and our customers.
The following are a big plus
- Experience with Java, C#, and .NET Core.
- A passion for distributed systems and scalability challenges.
- Experience leading offshore engineers.
Job Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
- Bring a long-term strategic vision to guide the evolution of HiBob's data and platform ecosystems, building the bridge between HiBob's Platform Unit to HiBob's finance product -anticipating future scale, integrations, and business needs while ensuring today's decisions lay the foundation for tomorrow's growth.
- Determine and manage the headcount required to meet domain goals
- Grow the group into multiple motivated and high-performing teams with clear ownership and the right people, leaders, and culture
- Mentor team leads and tech leads and set them up for success
- Identify and grow the future leaders in the group - managers and individual contributors
- Identify, promote, and facilitate cross-team efforts within the domain - roadmap, technical, engineering excellence, execution processes etc.

**Note: We will consider both candidates located in the New York Metro Area who are willing to work in our NYC office 2-3 days a week (Tuesday - Thursday) OR Remote across the U.S.
