TEAM
In Cloud & AI Engineering, we build solutions to boost automotive software developer productivity. The Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) Devtools Team covers developer tool solutions specifically for vehicle software engineers. This includes the tool research and selection, tool deployment, access control and resource management, integration with other tools, while working closely with tool users.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
You are a software engineer with experience in vehicle software development, and with the experience in using its specific tools. You’ll have experience working closely with other teams in the software development platform engineering area to provide those tools to the customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be a tool expert for software defined vehicle engineering, capable of solutions that help both from the user perspective and the administrator perspective
- Foster relationships with customers through on-site visits to learn about customer use cases and advocate & promote the SDV tools we offer
- Select appropriate tools to go into the software development platform which will support our customers
- Work closely with other teams in the software development platform team to automate the access control, resource management, billing, and so on
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years experience of vehicle software engineering in the automotive industry
- 3+ years writing code in Python, Go, Java, JavaScript, Shell or a similar language
- Experience using the vehicle software engineering specific toolchains
- Experience using Japanese to communicate with corporate customers in a Japanese language environment
- Business level English
NICE TO HAVES
- Experience of tools comparison, selection and decision making
- Experience automating access control and resource management of tools
- Experience negotiating with the tools vendors to implement the new features
- Experience using cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP or Azure
