Position Description
This position is responsible for qualifying smart home control applications and mobile applications system for Residential market. You will use your technical skills and product understanding to qualify different products and voice out quality concerns and make sure to provide high quality products to our customers.
JOB DUTIES
- Design, develop and Maintain test automation for iOS, Android mobile app for the flutter-based application, using the native and hybrid technologies.
- Design, develop and Maintain test automation for Web and API test cases using robust engineering and coding practices.
- Execute existing automation scripts and develop new automation scripts to meet evolving requirements.
- Analyze automation test failures, track failure patterns, and report results to minimize non-functional or setup failures.
- Be an advocate for shift-left and automation first approach.
- Actively participate in scrum meetings by sharing your work, asking insightful questions, and learning from peers, partners, and customers.
- Collaborate with product owners, technical team members, and customer operations teams to address issues and manage escalations effectively.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of various test methodologies, defect cycles, and test processes, including SDLC and STLC.
- Take ownership of your work with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, adapting to new domains and technologies, and working closely with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve testing issues, conduct root cause analysis, and propose solutions, while maintaining and updating test documentation to ensure compliance with quality standards and working on framework improvements.
YOU MUST HAVE:
- Bachelor/Master degree in Engineering (Computer Science Engineering or its equivalent)
- Looking for Test Automation Engineer having 4-8 yrs exp with a minimum 3-4 years of experience in automation development and execution
- Expertise in Automation test script development, test execution and defect reporting.
- Exposure to test automation frameworks using Java.
- Strong hands-on experience working in test automation with expertise in Test automation tools/frameworks e.g., WebDriver IO/Selenium, Cucumber, Appium.
- Individual who is self-motivated and proactively takes action to get things done.
Good to have skills.
- Security System and Home automation controls and smart home apps background is preferable.
- Exposure to any embedded automation framework development will be added advantage.
Should have testing experience of mobile & Cloud based applications.
