Senior Engineer, Product Development Engineering

The Role: 

• Filter devices are key components that contribute to yield improvement in IC chip manufacturing. Therefore, customer requirements for filter devices are becoming increasingly challenging and complex. We must continuously improve filter performance, including retention, flow rate, and cleanliness, to meet these demanding requirements. 

• The Product Development Engineering team needs to fill this backfill position to maintain sufficient engineering capacity and capability for R&D sample preparation, development of manufacturable processes, and the on-time launch of advanced new products. This role is essential to support customer requirements, accelerate new product development activities, and capture growth opportunities in the semiconductor industry.　　 

• The core mission of this position is to develop device assembly and cleaning processes used for new product development. This role is focused on hands-on process development, including device assembly, prototype sample preparation, process optimization, and process documentation.

• 本ポジションの中核的なミッションは、新製品開発に用いられるデバイスの組立および洗浄プロセスの開発です。本ポジションでは、デバイス組立、試作サンプル作製、プロセス最適化、プロセス文書作成などの実践的なプロセス開発を担当します。 

In this role you will: 

• Develop optimum cleaning and assembly processes for liquid filter devices. 

• Create DOE (Design of Experiments) plans and development schedules. 

• Research new technologies related to cleaning processes, chemistry, and materials for liquid filter devices. 

• Prepare and assemble liquid filter prototype samples. 

• Manage sample preparation schedules. 

• Analyze process data and summarize results to support technical decisions. 

• Create and maintain process records and documentation required for part number registration. 

• Learn liquid filter technologies and applications to develop into a future engineering leader.

• DOE（実験計画法）の計画立案および開発スケジュールを作成する。 

• 液体フィルターデバイスに関連する洗浄プロセス、化学、および材料に関する新技術を調査する。

• サンプル準備スケジュールを管理する。 

• プロセスデータを解析し、技術的判断に必要な結果を取りまとめる。 

• 品番登録に必要なプロセス記録および関連文書を作成・管理する。 

• 将来のエンジニアリングリーダーとして成長するため、液体フィルター技術およびアプリケーションを習得する。 

Traits we believe make a strong candidate: 

• Knowledge of chemistry, including acids, bases, and organic solvents, at the university level or equivalent practical experience. 

• Experience with chemical experiments, laboratory work, process development, or machine/equipment operations. 

• Hands-on capability and attention to detail in sample preparation and assembly work. 

• Ability and willingness to quickly learn machine and equipment operations. 

• Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and propose practical solutions. 

• Experience leading small projects or collaborating with cross-functional teams is preferred.
