This role also involves managing and maintaining plating equipment to ensure stable operations and compliance with quality and environmental standards.
What You Will Do
Plating Process Development & Optimization
Define key process parameters (voltage, current, time, temperature, chemical concentration).
Optimize plating thickness, adhesion, and surface finish.
Conduct experiments (DOE) to improve process yield and reliability.
Collaborate with R&D or Product Engineering on new plating technologies or materials.
Equipment Management
Perform preventive maintenance and calibration of plating equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and chemical-related tool issues.
Coordinate with equipment vendors for upgrades, spare parts, and technical support.
Process Control & Monitoring

Monitor and maintain plating bath conditions within required specifications.
Analyze process data, detect deviations, and implement corrective actions.
Track equipment downtime, availability, and OEE.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure plating processes comply with internal standards and regulations (e.g., RoHS, REACH).
Investigate plating defects and drive root cause analysis (RCA).
Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Support audits and maintain process documentation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with production, quality, R&D, and maintenance teams.
Train operators and technicians on plating processes and equipment handling.
Participate in yield improvement, cost reduction, and process robustness initiatives.
Safety & Environmental Compliance
