Department Summary
Our Wireless Technology team is pioneering the future of connectivity. We're developing unique hybrid mobile network operator (MNO) infrastructure—combining our advanced, cloud-native 5G core with the nationwide reach of our partners. Job Duties and Responsibilities
The core network environment faces increasing complexity as it transitions to cloud-native architectures, requiring a specialist who can navigate intricate 4G and 5G service disruptions. This role solves the problem of prolonged network downtime by providing expert-level diagnostics and resolving Tier 2 and Tier 3 incidents that impact the customer experience. You will bridge the gap between daily network changes and long-term stability by driving root cause analysis and mentoring the wider NOC team. By leveraging advanced monitoring tools and cloud technologies, this position ensures the network remains resilient against emerging technical challenges.
What Success Looks Like (Objectives)
Resolution of complex Tier 2 and Tier 3 service-impacting events to maintain maximum network uptime and stability
Achievement of departmental OKRs by reducing Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) and supporting KPI deviation corrections
Implementation of AI-driven diagnostic tools to automate the identification of subscriber-level observations and network anomalies
Execution of comprehensive root cause and chronic incident analyses to prevent the recurrence of major network outages
Delivery of technical guidance and training sessions to the NOC team to ensure seamless adaptation to daily infrastructure changes
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Core Skills and Competencies (What you’ll bring)
- Advanced expertise in 4G and 5G Core network troubleshooting and call flow analysis
- Critical experience managing and validating network functions within Kubernetes and cloud-native environments
- AI Literacy, specifically the ability to apply machine learning insights to network monitoring and predictive maintenance
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex data sets during root cause investigations
- Professional collaboration skills gained through experience working with Tier 1 and Tier 2 service providers
- Proven ability to provide technical leadership and knowledge transfer in high-pressure operational settings
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electronics-Communication, or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum Experience: 5 years of experience in Telecom Operational Core environments
- Required Technical Skills:
- Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, or Telecommunications Engineering
- Years of telecom experience in 5G IMS Core and 4G EPC domains (Experience in NOKIA and Oracle products preferred).
- Experience with Messaging/IMS (SIP, SMSC, MMSC, VoLTE/VoNR, RCS) is preferred.
- Hands‑on expertise with Packet Core nodes (5GC + EPC) and protocols such GTPV2, GTP‑C/U, PFCP, NAS, Diameter, HTTP/2, SIP.
