Senior Engineer - Lotus Notes

Team Summary
In this role, you will maintain high availability, security, and performance for Siplast’s core contractor lifecycle workflows—including onboarding, warranty registrations, claims, and inspections—currently powered by HCL Domino / Lotus Notes. You will lead system administration, Tier-3 technical support, application maintenance, and risk mitigation for our Domino environment. As GAF transitions legacy applications to modern cloud platforms (Salesforce and Tavant TWOD), you will serve as a subject matter expert guiding application discovery, business logic preservation, and data migration strategies.
Essential Duties

• Infrastructure & Administration: Manage, configure, and optimize multi-server HCL Domino environments to ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and peak system performance.
• Tier-3 Technical Escalation: Serve as the primary escalation point for complex Domino mail routing, replication, database repair, and server performance troubleshooting.
• Application Engineering & Support: Maintain, enhance, and debug custom LotusScript, Formula Language, and Java-based Domino applications and databases (.nsf).
• Integration Engineering: Support and maintain interfaces between Domino databases and external enterprise systems via REST APIs, web services, DECS/HEI, and ODBC.
• Security & Compliance: Administer Domino Directory, Access Control Lists (ACLs), ID files, SSL certificates, encryption, and patch management according to GAF enterprise security standards.
• Migration & Modernization: Partner with Enterprise Architecture and IT Transformation teams to audit legacy databases, document workflow logic, and execute seamless data extraction/migration to target cloud platforms.

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor’s Degree Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional industry experience. required
• 7+ years of hands-on experience administering, engineering, and supporting HCL Domino / Lotus Notes environments at an enterprise level.

Qualifications Preferred

• HCL Domino / Lotus Notes Administrator or Developer Certification.
• Experience with Domino modernization solutions and APIs (e.g., Domino REST API, HCL Nomad, HCL Volt MX).
• Proven track record of participating in legacy database audits and cloud platform migrations (e.g., Salesforce).
• Scripting skills in PowerShell or Python for automation and data extraction.
• Core Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in HCL Domino Server Administration (v9 through v12/v14), including NRPC/SMTP mail routing, clustering, and replication architecture.
• Development Skills: Strong background in LotusScript, @Formula, Java, and JavaScript development within Domino environments.
• Security & Infrastructure: solid understanding of LDAP integration, SSL/TLS, TCP/IP, and server OS environments (Windows Server, Linux/RHEL).
• Problem Solving: Proven root-cause analysis and analytical skills for resolving complex issues across distributed database environments.

Base salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Individual compensation offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant candidate experience and skill, education, and/or qualifications.

Base Salary Range: $153,000-$195,500
