Role Description
- Our Technology, Data and Innovation (TDI) strategy is focused on strengthening engineering expertise, introducing an agile delivery model, as well as modernising the bank's IT infrastructure with long-term investments and taking advantage of cloud computing.
- You will be working in the Transaction Monitoring and Data Controls team designing, implementing, and operationalizing Java components. In additional to that, this role require identify the opportunity and building Agentic solution in our space.

Your key responsibilities
- Designing and implementing Java based software components for the Transaction Monitoring Data Controls applications
- Contributing to Cloud/AI capabilities to ensure maximum automation of our applications
- Collaboration across the TDI areas such as Cloud Platform, Security, Data, Risk & Compliance areas to create optimum solutions for the business, increasing re-use, creating best practice and sharing knowledge
Your skills and experience
Must Have
- Expert hands-on Java development (8/11/17+), Spring Boot, Microservices, Transactional Database etc.
- Java data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark, REST APIs, Event-Driven Architecture, Kafka
- Professional experience working with Java components on GCP (e.g. App Engine, GKE, Cloud Run)
- Experience of contributing to Design and development of scalable, high-volume applications, Performance tuning, resiliency, and fault tolerance
- Professional experience of at least one data storage technology (e.g., Oracle, Big Query)
- Professional experience of at least one "CI/CD" tool such as Team City, Jenkins, GitHub Actions.
- Designing end-to-end enterprise solutions
- Experience in working in one of cloud platform- AWS/GCP/Azure and cloud-native application.
- Experience of working with a globally distributed team requiring remote interaction across locations, time zones and diverse cultures
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Experience in LLM-based application development and Agentic AI frameworks (LangChain, Google ADK, CrewAI), RAG etc.
Ideal to Have
- Professional experience working with RedHat OpenShift
- Professional experience working with Apache Spark
- Professional experience working with Kotlin
- Security experience with OAuth2
- Experience of working in one or more large data integration projects/products
- Experience and knowledge of Data Engineering topics such as partitioning, optimisation based on different goals (e.g. retrieval performance vs insert performance)
- Experience working with confidential data and strategies to avoid direct use of raw data
- Experience related to any of payment scanning, fraud checking, integrity monitoring, payment lifecycle management
- Experience working with Drools or similar product
- Data quality, lineage, and observability concepts
- Understanding of data security principles and implementation considerations
