Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software QA Engineer II to join our FPGA Business Unit. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software tools and solutions that enable customers to design, simulate, and deploy FPGA-based systems. You will work closely with development, product management, and hardware teams to define test strategies, develop test plans, develop automated test suites, and drive continuous improvement in our QA processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for FPGA software tools and solutions.
  • Develop and maintain automated test frameworks to ensure robust regression coverage.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and translate them into effective test strategies.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects; work with development teams to drive resolution.
  • Analyze test results, provide detailed reports, and recommend improvements to enhance product quality.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to best practices in software quality assurance.
  • Stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies in FPGA and software QA.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in software QA, preferably in the semiconductor, FPGA, or SoC domain.
  • Strong understanding of FPGA architectures, design flows, and related software tools.
  • Familiarity with Verilog, VHDL, or other hardware description languages.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, TCL, Python, Perl, or similar) and experience with test automation frameworks.
  • Solid knowledge of software development lifecycle, QA methodologies, and agile practices.
  • Experience with bug tracking, test management tools, version control tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Git).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Good in English speaking and writing.
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to leverage AI technologies to enhance QA processes, improve efficiency, and drive better results.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with hardware/software co-verification and simulation environments.
  • Experience with C programming and familiarity with embedded systems design and development.
  • Prior experience mentoring or leading QA teams.
