Job Description:

  • Will be responsible for PCB layout of Microchip hardware Dev Tool products
  • Will work closely with HW Design team to develop PCBs governed by manufacturability, testability requirements, safety guidelines, EMC and RoHS compliancy
  • Design of high-speed digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics using Altium Design Software, Siemens Xpedition or other equivalent EDA tools
  • Strong understanding of signal and power integrity, EMI/EMC and manufacturability
  • Maintains HW Quality process documents (PCB/Sch, BOM, product drawings and assembly)
  • Contributes to company wide librarian functions for component creation
  • Generates Gerber outputs, stacking, drilling detail, and component placement
  • Coordinate closely with PCB vendors and Assembly Contract Manufacturers

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering
  • 7.5 years of professional PCB layout experience
  • Good knowledge of signal integrity and PCB thermal analysis
  • Familiarity with Mechanical CAD package (SOLIDWORKS, Autodesk Fusion/Inventor) or equivalent
  • Ability to find, collect, and analyze technical information from various sources
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills

Preferred:

  • Master’s in electrical engineering
