Senior Engineer, Global Facilities Central Engineering, Construction - Chemical & Gas

Job Summary
Provide chemical and gas construction engineering support for semiconductor facility projects across the U.S. and Asia, covering the full project lifecycle from design through commissioning and handover. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to required quality standards, while supporting global consistency, safety, and operational excellence.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead chemical and gas construction engineering across project lifecycle (design, construction, commissioning, and handover)
- Drive delivery of large-scale fab projects in alignment with scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements
- Review and validate chemical and specialty gas system designs to ensure compliance with standards, codes, and safety requirements
- Provide technical engineering support to resolve construction, installation, and design issues
- Monitor construction progress and ensure timely resolution of technical challenges
- Support development of project cost estimates, schedules, and business justifications
- Coordinate consultants and contractors to ensure effective and safe project execution
Other Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (facilities, procurement, manufacturing, operations, IT) to ensure project alignment
- Communicate project updates, risks, and key decisions to stakeholders and leadership
- Identify and mitigate technical and safety risks proactively
- Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- Contribute to development and standardization of Best Known Methods (BKMs)
- Support safety and sustainability programs related to chemical handling, gas systems, and facility operations
- Support capacity planning and infrastructure optimization across global sites
AI Responsibilities
- Apply AI-assisted tools to improve engineering analysis, system monitoring, and project execution efficiency
- Identify opportunities to leverage data and AI for improved decision-making and system performance
- Share and adopt AI-enabled best practices to support continuous improvement
Candidate Profile / Job Requirements
Minimum Required Qualifications / Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction, or related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years supporting construction projects as a Chemical or Gas Engineer.
- Experience working in EPCM project environments.
- Experience designing and supporting chemical and specialty gas systems, including bulk distribution, hazardous gas systems, delivery systems, and safety systems.
- Strong ability to review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and system designs.
- Experience in construction engineering, project execution, and project controls including cost, schedule, and risk management.
- Strong technical problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities.
Ability to work effectively in global, multicultural teams and travel as required.
