Senior Engineer - Embedded Accounting

The role / impact

You will focus on creating robust, high-quality, and scalable software that solves genuine customer problems, moving beyond simple execution to relentlessly automate manual processes. You will contribute to technical solution designs that embrace a quality-first approach, ensuring that the software we deploy meets our rigorous standards and delivers real value to our customers.

Beyond the code, you will take ownership of identifying and resolving development and production issues, acting quickly to track down root causes and clearly communicating the impact to stakeholders. You will play a key role in maintaining our engineering standards and infrastructure, proactively monitoring delivery processes to prevent customer-facing problems before they arise.

The team is currently working on

• We utilize a diverse tech stack including C#, .NET, React, TypeScript, and Redux.

• The team is focused on refactoring complex, monolithic systems into scalable, resilient distributed components.

• We are actively contributing to internal ecosystems by building SDKs and libraries that enable other teams to integrate effectively.

• Our delivery process relies heavily on CI/CD concepts and automated tooling to safely and repeatedly release code.

Where and how you can work

This role offers the flexibility of working remotely within the US, with a preference for candidates based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, or Denver. You will need to be available to work Pacific Time hours to collaborate effectively with the wider team.

Here are some of the things we're looking for, for this role

• You bring extensive experience across a range of languages and tools, ideally with a full stack focus using C#, .NET, React, and TypeScript.

• You are proficient in the architecture and implementation of distributed systems, with the ability to refactor complex legacy structures.

• You possess the ability to debug across the entire technology stack to unblock the team and solve root causes quickly.

• You are a strong advocate for Test Driven Development (TDD) and CI/CD practices to ensure quality and speed.

• You have a growth mindset and enjoy mentoring others, helping to lift the technical capability of those around you.

• You are able to make major code design decisions for individual products and contribute to internal ecosystems.
