Job Summary 

The Senior Engineer, Corporate Solutions is responsible for being a leading participant in an engineering team and contributing to software design, development, and overall product lifecycle for our corporate solutions applications.  In addition to working with other engineers and architects, field questions from other teams and encourage cross-team collaboration. Play active role working with third party vendors. Create foundational code elements that can be reused. Define software level objectives for applications. 

Duties and Responsibilities (other duties as assigned)

  • Builds rapid prototypes to explore viability of solutions fit to product strategy and upon alignment from stakeholders scale the solution and productionize it
  • Identifies, implements, and shares technical solutions that can be used across the organization
  • Identifies unsecured code areas and implements fixes as they are discovered
  • Identifies application enhancements (client-facing or technical) to create a better experience for the end users
  • Collaborates with Enterprise Architects and stakeholders to create meaningful architecture diagrams and other documentation needed for security reviews or other interested parties
  • Defines service level objectives for application to constantly measure their reliability in production and help prioritize backlog work.
  • Writes custom code or scripts to automate infrastructure, monitoring services, and test cases also to do “destructive testing” to ensure adequate resiliency in production
  • Creates meaningful dashboards, logging, alerting, and responses to ensure that issues are captured and addressed proactively
  • Identifies application enhancements (customer-facing or technical) to create a better experience for the end users
  • Creates meaningful architecture diagrams and other documentation needed for security reviews or other interested parties
  • Provides application support for software running in production
  • Proactively monitors production and lower environments service level objectives for applications
  • Works with vendors to help identify and implement feature enhancements in applications
  • Works with other engineering teams to create and consume API specifications and contracts for shared data
  • Proactively reviews the performance and capacity of all aspects of production: code, infrastructure, data, and message processing
  • Triages high priority issues and outages as they arise
  • Participates in the Backoffice Oncall Schedule

Education, Experience & Certifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field. (Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative discipline is a plus, but not required.)
  • 6+ years experience doing backend development in Java, with strong proficiency in the Spring Boot ecosystem.
  • 4+ years experience doing frontend development in Javascript.
  • 4+ plus years experience working with SQL.
  • Experience with Python for systems scripting, automation, or task orchestration.
  • Extensive knowledge of building and deploying applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Direct understanding and experience managing containerized workloads inside Kubernetes clusters.
  • Experience with Git-based source control (Bitbucket).
  • Experience with dependency management using Apache Maven.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development using tools such as Gemini Code Assist, Antigravity, etc.
  • Experience building, maintaining, and debugging CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or Harness.
  • Strong Linux system administration skills, including terminal navigation, process management, shell scripting, and JVM
     troubleshooting.
  • Experience executing and troubleshooting custom, manual application deployments directly on remote SSH servers.
  • Hands-on experience with Nexus Repository Manager.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for both engineering teams and non-technical business partners globally.
