Senior Engineer, Cleanroom MetrologyJob Description:
The Role:
We have an immediate opening for Cleanroom Metrology Engineer in our KTC facility in Ansan. Ideal candidate willcollaborate closely with Materials Solutions Engineers and Research Scientist to enhance the ability to differentiate and measure CMP, CVD, ALD and WET performance using in-house metrology equipment measurements of thin film, defects, and surface topography. In this role, the engineer needs to work with external labs and wafer suppliers for advanced defect measurements in coordination with global engineering teams.
In this role you will:
Cleanroom metrology – film thickness, defect analysis, SEM defect classification
Support measurement needs in experimental planning and execution
Subject matter expert in measurement and key collaborator with Engineers and Scientists
Identifies opportunities to improve Cleanroom and experimental efficiency
Assists with evaluation and process development activities on new Cleanroom tools, including polishers, metrology equipment, or cleaning equipment
Keeps detailed records of experimental data and experimental methods
Shares in responsibility for the safety of shift-coworkers
Defect classification by using Klarity
Traits we believe make a strong candidate:
Bachelor’s or higher degree in physics, chemistry or related engineering field
2+ years’ experience in Semiconductor fab
Defectivity metrology experience is a must
Experience working on engineering projects is required. Ability to operate and interpret results from wafer metrology such as semiconductor fab experience as a process engineer or yield enhancement engineer role
Knowledge of CMP modules in Logic and/or Memory fab
Defect metrology – SPx, SEM review, defect classification with a Klarity
Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Solid communication skills, fluency in English is a plus.
Work in close collaboration with global engineering teams
Project management and leadership capability
Microsoft Office applications skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required; Python/C++, statistical analysis software skills a plus (JMP or Minitab or SAS)
