Marsh is searching for an experienced Engagement Lead in our Risk Consulting team.
This position can be based anywhere in the United States.
The candidate will work across our entire Risk Consulting team to engage a range of capabilities to support risk management, risk control, and risk financing (to include traditional, captive, and alternative risk teams) for our clients. The advisor will also leverage Marsh Emerging Risk and Analytics platforms to design and deploy solutions customized to each client’s needs, including but not limited to risk management strategy design and deployment, risk program optimization, and deployment of suite of tools to reduce client total cost of risk (TCOR). They will support the Auxiliary Risk Management Solution program that provides interim risk management support to our clients.
What primary responsibilities can you expect?
Partner with client executives and client teams to identify critical paths for client risk program enhancements;
Serve in an outsourced risk management capacity with clients that need short-term staffing support;
Partner with Marsh Safety and Risk Engineering resources to reduce client TCOR;
Design and deployment of client Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) tools and techniques, and supporting Supply chain risk management, linking to BCM and Crisis Management teams;
Lead/support the development and advancement of TCOR assessment - partnering with other Marsh SME’s;
Conduct in Client Risk Management Strategy review sessions, linking brokerage and consulting activities;
Leverage analytics tools/teams and partner with captive and ART teams for program design optimization;
Work, in collaboration with the brokering analytics team, to develop and deploy analytics support tools, dashboards, and TCOR analytics tools;
Assist in the development and execution of strategic client consulting plans;
Interact with other Consulting team members, Business Development teams, Leadership, Account Executives, Producers, Brokers, other Marsh Business Units, Markets and Vendors to design and deploy client solutions.

What you need to have:
At least 15 years of risk management experience with a focus on reducing Total Cost of Risk and improving risk and insurance department operational efficiency;
Experience with combination of ERM/BCM/Crisis Management/Supply Chain Risk Management;
Experience using analytics for risk management decision support;
Experience overseeing some aspects of global insurance program design and placement;
Captive insurance programs;
Preferred combination of several tracks from Engineering, risk consulting, Retail Broker placement, underwriting, in-house risk management department (at least 2);
Insurance / Risk Management industry knowledge.
