Summary Generated by Built In

As a Senior Electronics Test Engineer, your primary focus will be on designing and building scalable test solutions to support the production scale up of our next-generation drone platforms. You will own the verification and production test infrastructure end to end, from defining test concepts to managing a network of service providers delivering automated test solutions. Your mission is to improve production yield and enhance product reliability in the field. Working closely with our EMS partners, you will improve yield and reduce test cycle times, driving efficiency and quality throughout the manufacturing process.

This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced, agile environment, offering the opportunity to design practical test solutions from concept through to mass production. This involves balancing the transition from our existing test setups to more scalable and automated solutions for a number of different products.

Beyond test engineering, you’ll apply your DFM and verification expertise across the broader hardware team by supporting the design of drone-specific PCBs and improving the manufacturability and robustness of our products. Your experience in PCB manufacturing, validation, and testing will be a valuable asset in guiding the team toward more reliable and cost-optimized designs.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Design manufacturing test solutions to enable high-volume PCB mass production, scaling to millions of units
  • Collaborate with EMS partners and service providers to develop automated test solutions, fixtures, jigs, and needle-bed adapters that meet efficiency, quality, and throughput targets
  • Support the installation, commissioning, and validation of test equipment at EMS and OEM manufacturing sites
  • Plan and execute product verification activities, including test case definition, execution, data analysis, and documentation, as well as providing guidance for repair and failure analysis
  • Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams, offering technical support for design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and validation of advanced avionics PCBs
  • Write technical documentation, including test concepts, assembly and setup instructions, and repair manuals
  • Act as the subject matter expert for DFM aspects of PCB design, driving improvements in test coverage, production yield and overall manufacturing cost efficiency

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
  • 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing test solutions for large-scale manufacturing
  • Practical experience with test automation for connectors and interfaces
  • Proficiency in ECAD tools (preferably Altium Designer)
  • Pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset
  • Good verbal and written English communication skills
  • EU/CH Citizenship is required

Benefits

  • Flexible working hours
  • Stock Options
  • Generous holiday allowance
  • Company pension plan
  • Car parking
  • Enhanced maternity & paternity leave
  • Mental health and wellbeing support
  • Learning and development opportunities
