Job Duties and Responsibilities

The Electrical Engineer III addresses complex connectivity, schematic design, and system integration challenges within advanced aviation electrical architectures. As an experienced individual contributor, this role solves critical engineering issues related to wiring, harness assembly, and software loading tests for installed aircraft systems. By ensuring full compliance with stringent FAA requirements, quality management targets, and budget constraints, the engineer directly contributes to high-reliability aerospace product deployments.
What Success Looks Like (Objectives):
- Execute individual connectivity design projects on time and under budget while maintaining complete technical accuracy
- Deliver precise schematics, wiring diagrams, harness assemblies, and electrical reports aligned with customer specifications
- Partner with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to streamline avionics software loading, testing, and troubleshooting
- Advance department OKRs by ensuring strict adherence to established quality management systems and safety guidelines
- Leverage AI design tools to automate data analysis and optimize electrical system routing workflows
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Core Skills and Competencies (What you'll bring):
- Comprehensive technical proficiency in AutoCAD and engineering software applications for complex electrical system design
- In-depth expertise navigating FAA regulatory requirements, safety assessments, and compliance processes
- Advanced ability to analyze customer specifications, perform wire routing assessments, and evaluate electrical load parameters
- Strong collaboration and communication capabilities to coordinate effectively across engineering disciplines and external partners
- Critical experience with AI Application and data interpretation tools to accelerate design verification and problem-solving
Additional Qualifications:
- Direct background in satellite communications (SATCOM), cabin networks, or inflight entertainment (IFE) systems
- Familiarity with radio frequency (RF) engineering principles, specifically within K, Ku, and Ka bands
- Hands-on experience preparing substantiation reports such as EMI/RFI Ground/Flight Tests and System Safety Assessments
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
- 10+ years of experience in aviation electrical engineering
- Must have at least 10 years of experience with:
- Aviation electrical system design and schematic generation
- Avionics troubleshooting, software loading, and system testing
- AutoCAD and standard engineering design software

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $100,500.00/Year - $134,000.00/Year
