We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering Center of Excellence in Henderson, Nevada.In this role, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for highly automated manufacturing equipment and complex industrial process systems. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver safe, reliable, and code-compliant solutions that support ENTEK's continued growth and technological leadership.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the design and development of electrical systems for industrial automation and manufacturing equipment.
  • Design electrical systems that meet customer, project, and operational requirements.
  • Perform electrical load studies and develop circuit protection strategies.
  • Create and maintain single-line diagrams for power distribution systems.
  • Develop electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and power distribution designs.
  • Select and specify electrical components, including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, motors, sensors, breakers, and instrumentation.
  • Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), engineering documentation, and design records.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, UL 508A, NFPA 70, CE, and other applicable codes and standards.
  • Support controls integration, equipment troubleshooting, factory acceptance testing, startup, and commissioning activities.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, controls, manufacturing, purchasing, project management, and customer teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance during fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve equipment performance and reliability.
  • Support customer communications and occasional field service activities as required.
  • Manage assigned project schedules, engineering deliverables, and documentation.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in industrial automation, machinery design, manufacturing, or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, industrial control systems, and power distribution.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar electrical design software.
  • Familiarity with PLC platforms such as Allen-Bradley and Siemens.
  • Experience designing motor control and industrial power systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience designing medium- and low-voltage power distribution systems.
  • Knowledge of UL panel design and CE compliance requirements.
  • Hands-on equipment commissioning, startup, and field service experience.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in lithium battery manufacturing, plastics processing, converting equipment, or other process-driven manufacturing environments.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure preferred.
