As an important member of a team of engineers and designers, you will provide professional consulting services in asset management in our theme parks and resorts. Your work will involve support to the entire Walt Disney World (WDW) property including on-stage and off-stage locations.
You will report to the manager of Project Design Support, Facility Asset Management.
What You Will Do- Provide Electrical Engineering support to multiple partners across the property as an individual contributor or as part of a larger team.
- Organize and develop project design criteria and engineering work plans for projects of varying complexity.
- Assist in developing project scopes of work, budgets and schedules
- Ensure conformance to department standards and procedures
- Spearhead work progress and ensure that technical quality, interdisciplinary coordination and production requirements are met
- Monitor performance against the project design schedule, budget and earned value
- Answer construction bid period questions and respond to and resolve field issues and questions
- Provide technical direction to external engineers and designers, CAD personnel, and to outside consultants in the production of construction contract documents
- May direct consultants to whom design is outsourced for projects world-wide
- 7 or more years of work experience in electrical engineering
- Solid understanding of the electrical engineering field, including industry practices, construction methods and materials, codes, current technology and the preparation and use of contract documents in all phases of design and construction
- Engineering experience including responsibility for design and production of engineering construction documents for commercial and industrial buildings (Lighting, Power, HVAC, Fire Alarm Systems, Communication Systems, Lighting Control, HVAC Control).
- Construction phase experience including the submittal/shop drawing review process and on-site field inspections.
- Knowledge and use of 2D and 3D CAD such as AutoCAD(Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) and Revit for electrical engineering design.
- Knowledge and use of power system analysis software, such as SKM or ETAP, for short circuit, circuit breaker coordination, and arc-flash hazard analysis.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
- Florida Professional Engineer (PE) License, or ability to acquire one

The hiring range for this position in Florida is $100,100.00-$134,200.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
