Primary Purpose of Position:
• Regulatory compliance — Know, understand, and consistently maintain or exceed compliance with all applicable national, provincial, local, and Goodyear EHS&S regulations and requirements.
• EHS initiative execution — Lead the implementation and execution of key EHS&S initiatives (including but not limited to risk assessment, incident investigation, safety training, EHS audit and contractor management) that support the achievement of Goodyear’s EHS&S objectives and the facility’s business goals.
• PEC committee support — Support and participate in the People and Environmental Care (PEC) Steering Committee. Play a key role in developing and sustaining PEC subcommittees that enhance compliance, drive EHS&S performance improvement, and engage floor associates in EHS&S management and continuous improvement.
• EHS performance reporting — Ensure accurate and timely reporting of EHS&S metrics and KPIs. Develop plant-level AOP goals aligned with regional and global EHS&S targets.
• Special EHS responsibilities — Take ownership of specific EHS responsibilities such as industrial hygiene (IH) management and EHS permit management for projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
• You will support and manage compliance with applicable national, provincial, and local laws, and with company standards, policies, and business conduct requirements, by ensuring that all required controls are in place and functioning effectively. Work under the direction of, or in cooperation with, the EHS&S Manager to meet governmental requirements and to keep EHS&S programs current and aligned with regulatory updates.
• You will work with the project team on EHS permits for new projects to meet the legal requirements, and lead IH task in whole plant to identify risk and maka the action for any deviation events
• You will facilitate PEC activity in MU, Support the execution and continuous improvement of key EHS&S initiatives and requirements including: Ergonomics improvement; Behavioral Safety (Target Zero); Industrial hygiene monitoring/corrective actions; JSA/Risk Assessment; Control of Hazardous Energy; Controls for new materials, Zero Solvent, Waste to Landfill and Environmental Releases; EHS&S audits/corrective actions;
• You will ensure systems are in place to support the generation and gathering of data required for report EHS&S metrics/KPIs. Provide support in obtaining any data or information required by Global sustainability to respond to customer requests for sustainability data and certifications.
