Rex Minerals is an Australian mining company dedicated to the development of its flagship A$1.0B Copper-Gold Hillside Project located on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia. The project will be a significant contributor to the South Australian economy and is providing employment opportunities for locals and for those looking to move to the area.
Hillside is in a highly attractive regional location approximately 150km from Adelaide and is one of the largest copper/gold projects under development in Australia. The project is fully approved and early-stage site access work, major Highway diversions, site utilities and awarding of contracts and building the team to execute the project has commenced.
KBR is a global provider of full life cycle professional services supporting clients in delivery of major projects like Hillside and is providing expertise as part of an Integrated Owners Team delivering the Project on behalf of Rex Minerals.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a dynamic person to manage the document management function on the Hillside project You’ll be empowered to work in a way that suits your style to deliver great outcomes and build success on the project.
As the Lead Document Management Specialist, you will be working on the Rex Minerals Hillside Copper project. The role is full time based in the project office in Adelaide CBD (flexibility negotiable). The focus of this role is to undertake all document management accountabilities including but not limited to:
- Manage the Document Management system and distribution matrix
- Manage additional project personnel needs for resource surge
- Management of periodic transfer and storage of information from project management systems to the Document Management system
- Checking/validation/verification of all documentation, including correct numbering, revisions, status, format, title and legibility
- Maintenance of electronic records and document registers
- Processing and recording incoming and outgoing vendor data and engineering design drawings
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date internal Document Management system for proactive reporting of key performance metrics
- Responsible for the recording of document flow to and from all necessary parties
- Issue and track the status of all documents and drawings
- Train the project teams on Document Management systems and/or project specific systems and procedures
- Managing and setting up the document review via workflow in InEight
Who are you?
As a Lead Document Management Specialist, you will have the following qualifications and experience:
- Significant experience (typically 7+ years) in any related technical field or document control/ document management position
- Significant experience in document control/ document quality or information management positions
- Any experience in Document Management software including InEight, Aconex, and Documentum would be an advantage, especially setting up and managing document review via workflow.
- Proven history managing documentation of multiple contractors and consultants while contributing to a team effort in project environments
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage own workload
- Strong work ethic and ownership of accountabilities
