This team will play a crucial role in enabling the ongoing transformation of our agencies and functions.

In this role, you will play a key role in shaping and optimizing the way our enterprise technology organization provides support. Your focus will be on developing and implementing strategic initiatives that drive cost reduction and efficiency, ultimately enhancing the value we deliver. As a key leader within the Technology Operations team, you will also act as a deputy to the CIO, driving the transformation of our service model and overseeing resource and budget allocations across multiple teams.

What you'll be doing:

  • Redesign and implement a comprehensive deskside support strategy, encompassing both insourcing and outsourcing models.
  • Persuasively advocate for the adoption of the Tech Ops support model by out-of-scope organizations, adapting the model as needed to provide appropriate support levels.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure effective resource allocation across all CIO clusters.
  • Assume fiscal responsibility for all of Tech Ops, including ownership of the review process for hiring and spending.
  • Redefine the roles and responsibilities of the ITOM function to align with the broader operating model.
  • Drive transformational projects and initiatives as delegated by the CIO of Technology Operations.
  • Lead efforts to reduce overall deskside support expenditures while simultaneously enhancing the quality of support provided.
  • Build dedicated executive and pitch support teams regionally, strategically allocating resources to areas of critical need.
  • Serve as a deputy for the CIO of Technology Operations, providing leadership and management to teams reporting directly to the CIO.

What you'll need:

  • A bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field (equivalent experience will also be considered).
  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a large, complex organization, where you have successfully transformed support models or operational processes.
  • Experience managing large budgets, demonstrating financial acumen and responsibility.
  • Prior experience working within a Technology Operations environment, with a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities within this domain.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of various support models, including insourcing, outsourcing, and hybrid approaches, with the ability to assess and recommend the most effective solutions.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide teams to achieve ambitious goals.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills, enabling you to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Extensive experience in leading and managing complex transformation initiatives, demonstrating a track record of successful implementation.
  • Expertise in budget management and cost reduction strategies, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • The ability to build and cultivate strong relationships with senior-level stakeholders, effectively communicating complex information and gaining buy-in for strategic initiatives.
  • A proactive and results-oriented approach to driving strategic initiatives and projects, consistently delivering on commitments.
  • A deep understanding of deskside support models and best practices, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
