Your Role: Senior Director, Swine Marketing

As Senior Director of Swine Marketing, you will play a pivotal leadership role within the US Farm Animal Marketing Team. This position offers the opportunity to own and shape the Swine portfolio business strategy, driving category and brand management to achieve revenue and profit goals. Leveraging deep market insights and customer understanding, you will develop impactful solutions that address industry needs. Collaborating cross-functionally and partnering with Swine Business Unit Leaders, you will influence strategic direction while advancing Elanco’s marketing capabilities through team leadership and process innovation. This role provides a unique platform to make a significant impact on both the business and the broader market.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Business Ownership Own the P&L for Swine brands, ensuring annual revenue and profit delivery through strategic business planning. Oversee product forecasting, lifecycle management, and alignment of R&D and business opportunities with organizational goals.

  • Strategy Development & Execution Develop and execute a Swine strategy leveraging customer insights to meet sales and profit objectives. Partner with cross-functional teams to align on business goals, drive innovation, and enhance species strategies through non-product solutions.

  • Brand Development Lead brand strategy development and marketing execution, ensuring clear positioning and impactful campaigns. Translate complex technical and scientific information into simple, meaningful messages for key stakeholders.

  • Insights & Analytics Generate actionable insights from research and data analysis to guide strategies and business decisions. Identify critical business questions and collaborate with teams to drive research that meets customer needs.

  • Marketing Execution Implement marketing campaigns in collaboration with the sales team and manage ad agency relationships. Dedicate time to direct customer engagement while establishing influence with industry stakeholders.

  • Managerial / Cultural Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team while fostering a diverse and inclusive environment. Build a strong marketing culture focused on balancing employee growth with strategic business needs.

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science, Life Science, or Business; MBA or professional marketing qualification desirable.

  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of marketing experience with a strong knowledge of the animal health industry and swine market.

  • Top 2 Skills: Expertise in strategic marketing and proven leadership in cross-functional collaboration.

  • Expertise in lifecycle management, customer insights, and brand strategy development.

  • Influential across levels and functions without direct authority.

  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and aligns strongly with Elanco's Cultural Pillars, showcasing inquisitiveness, self-motivation, and a results-driven mindset.

  • Proven ability to coach and develop teams, with experience in marketing team collaboration and strong strategic marketing expertise.

  • Travel: Up to 20% annually.

  • Location: Global Elanco Headquarters - Greenfield, IN - Hybrid Work Environment.
