As a Senior Director of Security Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity and Technology Controls organization for Internet of Things (IoT) Security and Endpoint Vulnerability Management team, you will lead multiple technical areas and manage various departments. Your role involves promoting the adoption of technical methods across teams, keeping the firm updated with industry trends and advances in cybersecurity. You will be part of the IoT Security and Endpoint Vulnerability Management Team, responsible for safeguarding JPMC's connected devices and enforcing security protocols. Positioned at the core of Cybersecurity and Technology Controls, you will work closely with Cyber Operations, Vulnerability Management and Line of Business Partners, playing a key role in maintaining our robust security posture.
The IoT Security and Endpoint Vulnerability Management Team is dedicated to safeguarding JPMC's connected devices and endpoints. As crucial defenders, teammates will tackle vulnerabilities, enforce security protocols, and monitor threats, ensuring technology control compliance. Positioned at the heart of CTC, teammates will collaborate closely with Cyber Operations, Vulnerability Management and Line of Business Partners who are incentivized for enterprise wide interoperability. The role is your chance to be at the forefront of cybersecurity innovation, working with key stakeholders across the firm to protect sensitive information and maintain our robust security posture
Job responsibilities

  • Leads multiple technology and process implementations across departments to achieve firmwide technology objectives
  • Manages multiple areas with a strategic transactional focus
  • Provides leadership and high-level direction to teams while frequently overseeing employee populations across multiple platforms, divisions, and lines of business
  • Acts as the primary interface with senior leaders, stakeholders, and executives, driving consensus across competing objectives
  • Manages multiple stakeholders, complex projects, and large cross-product collaborations
  • Influences peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, product, and technology teams
  • Develops and executes the function's objectives and is responsible for outcomes
  • Manages staffing, budget, and relevant profit and loss
  • Champions the firm's culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience
  • Proven experience working Internet of Things (IoT) technologies and other information security disciplines such as mobile security, cloud security, Industrial Control Systems (ICS) security, etc.
  • Experience with Vulnerability Management for end-user applications, tools and devices.
  • Knowledge of virtualization, networking and network security practices (firewalls, encryption, and secure architecture)
  • Experience running teams of engineers that deliver security solutions operations on cloud-based platforms and applications
  • Experience building security engineering products and solutions for public cloud-based applications and infrastructure - AWS
  • Experience developing and leading large, cross-functional teams of technologists
  • Demonstrated prior experience influencing across highly matrixed, complex organizations and delivering value at scale
  • Experience leading complex projects supporting system design, testing, and operational stability
  • Experience hiring, developing, and recognizing talent


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Embedded system and device development.
  • Certifications in one or more of the following
    • Security: Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
    • Cloud: AWS Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) or AWS Developer certification
    • Networking: Cisco Certified Network Associate/Professional (CCNA/P), VMWare Certified Technical Associate - Network Virtualization (VCTA-NV)
