About the role:

8am, makers of LawPay and CPACharge as well as MyCase, CasePeer and Docketwise, is investing to ensure 8am is the most trusted and effective, payments-first agentic operating system for professional service firms - from boutique solo practices to enterprise-scale operations. We are hiring a Senior Director of Product, Payment Platform & Experiences to help steward this transformation.

This role owns the product strategy and roadmap for both payment platform capabilities as well as the end-to-end payment experiences that serve them up for our firms and their clients - from merchant underwriting to billing workflows, to payer experiences that shape both how and whether clients pay. You will be responsible for deepening payment adoption, accelerating digitization, and eliminating the friction that keeps firms and their clients tethered to legacy methods and low collection rates.

You will lead cross-functional execution across Product, Engineering, Design, Compliance, GTM, and Finance - ensuring 8am builds the durable platform foundations and high-quality user experiences that drive measurable growth in payment volume, conversion, and retention.

What you'll do:

  • Own the company-wide payments product strategy and multi-year roadmap
  • Lead product development across Payment Platform, Merchant Billing & Invoicing, and Payer Experiences for small business and Enterprise customers
  • Evolve the platform layer (routing, settlement, fund flow, compliance architecture) that powers the 8am payments ecosystem
  • Partner with Engineering, Design, Compliance, Finance, RevOps, and CX to drive adoption, volume growth, and measurable customer an business value
  • Ensure payment safety, fraud prevention, regulatory compliance, and trust across all features

About you:

  • 10+ years in product management with 5+ leading payments, fintech, or financial services products
  • Deep understanding of payment systems - processing, settlement, compliance - paired with a strong bias toward user experience innovation
  • Demonstrated ability to create a compelling vision, secure broad buy-in, and translate it into an ambitious long-term strategy delivered incrementally
  • Track record of driving digitization and adoption against entrenched behavioral or structural barriers
  • Experience in B2B SaaS serving SMB to enterprise; professional services background a strong plus
  • Preferred to sit in Austin, Texas
