Reporting to our Vice President of Product and Solutions Marketing, the Senior Director of Product Marketing - Competitive and Sales Enablement will lead the development of competitive intelligence programs and enablement tools. To empower our sales teams to win more against the competition, you will own the creation of competitive insights including beat the competition presentations, battlecards, responses to major analyst research and major vendor product introductions. You will also develop a sales playbook strategy comprised of multiple plays aligned with Ping’s product strategy and highlighting our differentiation in the market.
As a member of the product marketing leadership team, this position will partner with multiple stakeholders such as systems engineering, domain architecture, and product management to gather and correlate insights. You’ll then contextualize the intelligence to inform sales play formation, lifecycle management for product teams, messaging for product marketing, and competitive de-positioning for sales.
What You’ll Do
- Lead ongoing analysis of competitors’ products, pricing, messaging, and go-to-market strategies.
- Develop and maintain competitive selling presentations, battlecards, win/loss insights, and content for executive briefings.
- Partner with Product, Marketing, Sales including Ops, AR to synthesize market trends and threats.
- Build and maintain modular playbooks tailored to buyer personas, verticals, and use cases to drive sales productivity (reps and pre-sales). These are aligned to product direction, launches, campaign themes, and GTM priorities.
- Collaborate with Sales Enablement to deliver training and reinforcement programs.
- Work closely with Product and Solutions Marketing, Field Enablement, and Sales Leadership to ensure competitive insights are actionable.
- Partner with Demand Gen and Sales/Revenue Operations to measure playbook adoption and impact on pipeline and win rates.
- Manage CI platforms and work with enablement solutions (e.g. Crayon, Seismic, Highspot, etc.).
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of top notch competitive and market intelligence talent.
We’re Looking for Someone With:
- Education:
- BA/BS or equivalent industry experience required.
- Experience:
- 15+ years product marketing, competitive intelligence, and/or sales enablement experience in a cybersecurity, IT operations, or networking company.
- Previous experience in a lead role with responsibilities for sales playbook development and training.
- Familiarity with identity access management.
- Knowledge of adjacent technologies including SASE/SSE, endpoint security, SIEM, and EDR is a plus.
- Understanding of agentic AI is a plus.
- Strong collaboration skills with demonstrated ability to partner with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong ability to influence and work cross-functionally.
- Results-oriented leader with proven ability to build creative, collaborative teams; develop people; and link performance to overall business objectives.
Base Salary Range:
$137,000 to $197,000 CAD
In accordance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) the approximate compensation range for this role in Colorado is listed above. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors, such as knowledge, skills, and abilities.
