The Role
We’re looking for a director-level product leader to own the end‑to‑end agile product lifecycle for a SaaS-based tax compliance and marketing technology portfolio. In this role, you’ll translate business and client needs into clear product strategy, define and maintain the roadmap, and ensure delivery of features that drive measurable business outcomes for Ansira and our clients.
You’ll work closely with cross‑functional scrum teams (engineering, QA, UX) to turn requirements into prioritized epics, user stories, and releases, while leading agile ceremonies (planning, standups, reviews, retrospectives) across multiple teams. You’ll champion data‑driven decision‑making, using product analytics, client feedback, and operational metrics to continuously improve user experience and value delivery.
This is a hands-on, strategic leadership role for someone who can operate at both portfolio and squad level—connecting day‑to‑day execution to long‑term product vision.

The Director of Product Management leads a portfolio of products and value streams within the Ansira product portfolio, aligning product strategy to company and client business outcomes across multiple markets and segments. This role is accountable for end-to-end portfolio and product lifecycle management, from strategic discovery through delivery, commercialization, and ongoing optimization, operating within the SAFe agile framework and other agile-at-scale practices.

The Director provides leadership to a team of Product Managers and Product Owners, ensuring that roadmaps are customer-centric, data-informed, and tightly aligned to corporate strategy and revenue goals. They partner closely with Product Architecture, Engineering, Sales, Client Services, Marketing, and Support to deliver innovative, market-leading SaaS solutions in distributed channel marketing and marketing automation domains.

Leveraging product and project management tools for progress and portfolio visibility, along with AI-driven tooling to optimize workflows and decision-making, this leader ensures that product investments are prioritized, measurable, and continuously improved.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and evolve the product portfolio strategy across multiple products and value streams, ensuring alignment to company vision, client needs, and revenue/profitability goals.
  • Translate strategic bets into roadmaps, defining themes, epics, and major initiatives that balance platform investments with near-term business outcomes.
  • Lead and develop a team of Product Managers and Product Owners, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and career growth for a high-performing product organization.
  • Drive portfolio-level prioritization and investment decisions, making clear trade-offs across products, markets, and segments based on data, risk, and strategic impact.
  • Champion customer-centric, discovery-driven product practices, ensuring teams validate problems and solutions with customers and the field before scaling.
  • Partner with Engineering, Architecture, and Agile leadership to align Program Increment objectives, manage dependencies, and ensure predictable, high-quality delivery at scale.
  • Define and track portfolio KPIs and use insights to adjust strategy, roadmap, and investment.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Client Services to shape go-to-market strategies, launch plans, and enablement that drive adoption, expansion, and renewals.
  • Serve as the executive-facing voice of the product portfolio, regularly presenting vision, roadmap, performance, and trade-off recommendations to senior leadership and key clients.
  • Establish and continuously improve product management processes and standards, including roadmap practices, backlog management, discovery methods, and success measurement.
  • Ensure effective use of Jira and related tooling to provide transparent portfolio views of progress, risks, and outcomes across teams and initiatives.
  • Identify and deploy AI-driven tools and workflows that improve product discovery, analysis, forecasting, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead market and competitive assessments to anticipate trends, identify new opportunities, and guide build/partner/buy decisions across the portfolio.
  • Ensure products meet high bars for usability, reliability, and quality, partnering with UX, Engineering, and Operations to uphold excellence and compliance standards.
  • Drive change leadership across the organization, influencing stakeholders, aligning cross-functional teams, and building buy-in for product and portfolio direction.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Marketing, or related field
  • At least 5 years of product management experience in SaaS, digital platforms, or enterprise software, owning product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience working with SaaS platforms, including complex, multi-tenant or enterprise-grade products.
  • At least 5 years of experience directly managing multiple Product Managers and/or Product Owners, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
  • Proven track record leading portfolio-level prioritization and investment decisions across multiple products, programs, or value streams.
  • Strong experience conducting market research, competitive analysis, and customer discovery to shape product vision and roadmap.
  • Demonstrated ability to define and execute go-to-market strategies with Sales, Marketing, and Client Services, driving adoption and revenue growth.
  • Extensive experience working in agile and SAFe (or similar agile-at-scale frameworks), partnering closely with Engineering and Architecture.
  • Proficiency with Jira and related product management tools for backlog, roadmap, and portfolio management.
  • Experience identifying, evaluating, and deploying AI-driven tools or workflows to improve discovery, analysis, forecasting, and operational efficiency.
  • Exceptional leadership presence and communication skills, with a strong track record influencing executive stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
  • Demonstrated success building and developing high-performing product teams and elevating product management practices across an organization.
  • Ability to balance near-term deliverables with long-term strategic platform investments, making clear trade-offs under constraints.
  • Preferred: experience in marketing automation, distributed channel marketing, e-commerce or multichannel commerce, digital marketing, and/or web UX and experimentation.
