Job Description Summary:

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Director, Product Design, to lead and elevate the design discipline within our Digital Product & Engineering organization. Reporting to the VP of Digital Product & Engineering, you will own the user experience and design of The Coca-Cola Company’s digital products, with primary focus on prioritized domains, creating intuitive, on-brand interfaces while leading the design team that builds them. You will establish design principles, quality standards, and user-centered practices that shape how products are experienced across our portfolio. You will lead Digital Product Design, UX Research, and our design system, partnering closely with Product and Engineering leadership to ensure every product is grounded in deep user understanding, exceptional design quality, and consistent experience.

What You’ll Do for Us
•
Own the design and branding of digital products: establish and champion the design principles, quality standards, and user-centered practices that shape how products are experienced across the portfolio, ensuring every product delivers a consistent, intuitive, accessible, and brand-aligned experience (consistent with broader branding and communication standards at TheCoca-Cola Company)
•    Build and lead the Product Design organization: build and develop a world-class Product Design team by attracting exceptional talent, coaching designers, establishing clear career paths and performance expectations, and fostering a culture of design excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning as the product portfolio scales
•    Own the design system: own the end-to-end definition and evolution of our design system, including visual language, components, interaction patterns, and accessibility standards, and ensure consistency across all products. Partner closely with engineering to translate design specifications into the production component library, acting as the final arbiter on usability and brand fidelity while maintaining a tight feedback loop between design intent and implementation
•    Lead user research and discovery: embed user research, usability testing, and experimentation into the product process so design decisions are grounded in evidence
•    Allocate design across the portfolio: deploy a shared pool of designers across product teams based on need, balancing depth on priority products with consistent support across the portfolio
•    Partner with other product and engineering leaders: work with Product Managers, Product Owners, and Tech Leads to shape product direction from discovery onward, bringing a design-led point of view. Foster a culture of shared ownership where decisions are made with other Product and Global Engineering leaders, balancing user needs, business value, and technical feasibility
•    Make design a driver of adoption: translate complexity of technical requirements or features into clear, trusted, and usable experiences that increase adoption and impact across the business
•    Elevate craft and ways of working: run design critiques and reviews, raise the quality of artifacts from wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes, and continuously improve how the team works

Requirements & Qualifications
•    10+ years of product or experience design, with at least 4 to 5 years leading and managing design teams
•    A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design of complex digital products, ideally enterprise or B2B software and data-rich or analytics products
•    Proven experience building or scaling a design function
•    Deep expertise in interaction design, visual design, and user-centered design methodologies, with solid command of typography, layout, and information design
•    Experience creating and governing design systems and component libraries used across multiple products
•    Strong user research and usability practice, able to embed discovery and testing into the product process
•    Fluency with modern design tools such as Figma, and comfort partnering closely with engineering on implementation
•    Excellent communication and stakeholder skills, able to influence product and engineering leaders and senior executives
•    A track record of making design a measurable driver of adoption and business outcomes
•    Demonstrated willingness to remain hands-on when it matters most, rolling up your sleeves to tackle complex challenges while coaching others to deliver at a high standard
•    Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
•    Experience designing for AI/ML-powered or decision-intelligence products, including explainability and trust in data-driven experiences
•    Experience in a global, matrixed organization with products used across multiple
markets
•    Familiarity with marketing, commercial, or revenue growth management contexts
•    Experience standing up design operations and scaling a pooled or shared-services design model
