Summary

Data at Deel is about empowering better decisions by delivering the right insight, in the ideal format, at the moment of need. In this role, you’ll be the driving force behind that mission, partnering with product and business leaders across the company to uncover impactful insights, scale our analytics capabilities, and shape how we make decisions at every level.
You’ll lead a team of ~30 Analysts and Analytics Engineers embedded across vertical business units (EOR, Payroll, Fintech, IT, etc.) and strategic initiatives. This is a leadership role for someone who leads with both vision and craft—an inspiring leader and a sharp analyst, able to drive organisational thinking with data, scale high-performing teams, and shape what great looks like for analytics at Deel.

Responsibilities 

  • Act as a trusted thought partner to Product and Business Unit leaders, shaping strategy with data and surfacing insights that drive better decisions.

  • Lead by example: Personally ideate and execute high-impact, strategic analyses that shape product and business decisions.

  • Expand the focus of the Product Analytics team from product optimization to business optimization—growing capabilities across GTM, Finance, Operations, and other strategic functions.

  • Lead a growing team of ~30 Analysts and Analytics Engineers across multiple embedded analytics pods, each aligned to a specific domain.  

  • Mentor analytics leaders, grow team capabilities, and champion career development across the group.

  • Drive improvements in enablement, documentation, standardization, and process across the analytics function.

  • Promote best practices and foster a culture of analytical rigor, curiosity, and experimentation.

  • Partner with Data Platform to evolve our modern data stack—Snowflake, Looker, DBT, Estuary, and more.

  • Partner with Data Science to facilitate faster, more sophisticated analytics through better infrastructure, tooling, and collaboration.

  • Set a high bar for analytical thinking, stakeholder influence, and how we measure success.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in analytics or data-related roles, including 5+ years successfully leading high-performing analytics teams.

  • Proven track record operating in high-growth B2B SaaS environments, with the ability to scale analytics functions in fast-paced settings.

  • Strong analytical skills with advanced SQL proficiency and hands-on experience using modern BI platforms and experimentation tools.

  • Experience working across the full analytics development lifecycle, with a solid understanding of data architecture and infrastructure.

  • Expertise in defining key metrics and measurement strategies that inform business decisions and drive impact.

  • Skilled at communicating complex data insights in a clear and compelling way to diverse audiences.

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with a history of building effective relationships with engineering, product, executive, and go-to-market teams.

  • Deep understanding of how to embed analytics into product development, go-to-market execution, and strategic business planning.
