Job Summary
The Senior Director, Procurement, Assembly Test Materials & Outsourced Manufacturing leads the global strategy, sourcing, and supplier ecosystem for assembly, test materials, and outsourced manufacturing. This role is accountable for delivering cost competitiveness, supply assurance, and long-term resilience across a complex semiconductor value chain.
Partnering closely with engineering, manufacturing, and business leaders, the role drives category strategies, supplier performance, and risk mitigation while enabling Micron's growth and innovation priorities. Success in this role requires deep semiconductor domain expertise, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to lead large, global teams to deliver enterprise-level outcomes.
Main Responsibilities
  • Define and execute global procurement strategies for assembly, test materials, components, and outsourced manufacturing services to support business growth and operational excellence
  • Lead category management, ensuring cost competitiveness, supply continuity, and alignment with Micron's strategic and financial objectives
  • Build and manage strategic supplier partnerships, driving collaboration, performance accountability, and continuous improvement across the supplier ecosystem
  • Ensure supply assurance through proactive capacity planning, demand-supply alignment, and risk mitigation strategies, including development of resilient global sourcing networks
  • Drive end-to-end sourcing execution, including commercial negotiations, contract management, and supplier performance governance
  • Lead cost optimization initiatives and negotiations to achieve best-in-class total cost of ownership
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, supply chain) to support product, technology, and operational requirements
  • Lead, develop, and scale a high-performing global procurement organization, including leading leaders and building long-term capability
  • Establish KPIs and performance frameworks to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across procurement and supplier performance
  • Provide strategic leadership aligned to corporate priorities, ensuring clear line of sight from category execution to enterprise outcomes

Other Responsibilities
  • Drive supplier diversity, sustainability, and responsible sourcing initiatives aligned with Micron's commitments
  • Strengthen procurement analytics, predictive capabilities, and digital transformation initiatives
  • Represent procurement in executive-level forums and contribute to enterprise strategic planning
  • Support crisis management and rapid response for supply disruptions or geopolitical risks
  • Mentor emerging leaders and build succession pipelines within the procurement organization
  • Integrate AI-enabled tools and predictive insights into procurement, sourcing, and supplier management to improve decision quality and efficiency
  • Identify and scale AI-driven opportunities (e.g., demand forecasting, risk analytics, cost modeling) within procurement operations
  • Foster a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement through responsible AI adoption

Candidate Profile / Job Requirements
Minimum Required Qualifications / Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or equivalent practical experience
  • 15+ years of experience across semiconductor manufacturing, procurement, or supplier management
  • Proven experience operating at a global or enterprise leadership level, driving cross-functional business outcomes
  • Track record in managing complex supplier ecosystems and outsourced manufacturing models

Must Have Technical Skills
  • Deep understanding of semiconductor assembly, test, materials, and outsourced manufacturing landscape (technical, operational, and commercial dimensions)
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience negotiating complex, high-value agreements
  • Expertise in category strategy, cost modeling, and total cost of ownership optimization
  • Strong knowledge of global supply chain risks, capacity planning, and supplier performance management
  • Familiarity with procurement analytics, digital tools, and data-driven decision-making

Must Have Soft Skills
  • Strong enterprise leadership capability, including leading leaders and influencing across global organizations
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to translate vision into execution
