About the role:

Financeit is seeking a deeply analytical, strategic, and execution-focused Director, Pricing to own our product economics. In this role, you will apply rigorous quantitative analysis to our most critical business challenges, directly owning unit economics, margin health, and pricing frameworks across all lines of business.  

As a vital leader, you will combine a general manager mindset with conceptual thinking to build pricing engines that dictate our market competitiveness and top- and bottom-line growth. Setting our long-term pricing vision, you will also be tasked with building out our new team of pricing analysts to support the vision. 

What you'll be doing:

  • Own and direct the unit economics and product-level pricing across all business lines to drive and sustain profitable origination growth.
  • Construct and maintain robust pricing models reflecting current data trends to help operationalize the pricing strategy and guide day-to-day tactical decisions.
  • Establish our long-term pricing vision and strategy, presenting data-driven proposals, margin analyses, and recommended adjustments to the Executive Team and Board. 
  • Analyze complex datasets, identifying trends in promotional usage, consumer behavioural shifts and other insights that directly impact channel profitability.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners (Finance, Risk, Product) to lead the charge in dynamically aligning pricing strategies with evolving capital costs, merchant behavior, and consumer trends.
  • Champion an institutional test and learn methodology, spearheading pricing pilots, multivariate tests, analyzing results to drive strategic pricing adjustments.
  • Support new product launches and strategic growth efforts by delivering timely pricing validation and data-driven deal structuring.
  • To support our pricing strategy, build out our pricing analyst team and determine the headcount to achieve business objectives. 
  • Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of business and data analysts fostering a talent-first culture rooted in data excellence and intellectual curiosity

Requirements
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in pricing, finance, corporate strategy, or business analytics—experience in management consulting or top-tier financial services is a major plus
  • Degree in a highly quantitative field (e.g. Engineering, Economics, Finance, Mathematics or Analytics) is required, and an MBA or advanced degree is preferred
  • Proven experience managing or heavily influencing a complex, multi-product P&L / unit economics
  • Advanced, hands-on proficiency in SQL and financial modeling is required
  • Experience with predictive analysis (Python or R) is highly preferred
  • A self-directed builder comfortable navigating ambiguity and executing complex data projects without needing to delegate to a large team
  • Exceptional ability to translate complex quantitative models into clear, high-impact strategic narratives for executive leadership
  • Experience leading a high-performing and analytical team
