Job Purpose
The Senior Director of Pre-Sales Engagement is a key strategic role within the sales organization, responsible for leading Great Minds' strategy to help customers understand, consider, and evaluate curricular products prior to decision making. This individual will develop a scalable, enterprise-wide approach to each stage of an articulated customer journey, working across teams and products to create replicable, insight-driven approaches to presentations, pilots, and events. The Senior Director will further lead the company's strategy for sustainably staffing pre-sales activities across every region and territory. The role requires a blend of strategic thinking, sales acumen, and a deep understanding of emerging markets and customer needs.
Responsibilities

  • Develop an enterprise-wide customer journey framework, instrumented to measure key performance indicators in the customer engagement and consideration phase
  • Work across functions to develop scalable solutions essential to achieving strong performance, including coherent approaches to piloting and insight-driven presentations
  • Establish measures of success for each essential solution, including measures of sales impact and measures of return on investment
  • Work closely with product management, research, and marketing teams to align pre-sales strategies with product features and customer needs. Provide feedback on product performance and customer response to refine offerings.
  • Build a function and team dedicated to pre-sales customer engagement activities, employing current team members, new team members, and a part-time educator workforce
  • Champion a culture of innovation within the sales organization by promoting new ideas, experimenting with new approaches, and sharing success stories from pilot initiatives.

Requirements

  • 10+ years experience solutioning within go-to-market initiatives or new product launches.
  • 5+ years in a leadership role executing product launches or innovative sales approaches is highly desirable.
  • Strong strategic thinking, with the ability to translate innovative ideas into actionable plans.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of working effectively across departments.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence teams in a dynamic, fast-paced, and highly iterative context.
  • Demonstrated success in driving new product adoption and scaling sales initiatives.

The expected base salary range for this position is $155,000-$176,000, however the offered salarymay be higher or lower than the above range dependent on numerous factors including, but not limited to location, work experience, skills and internal equity considerations. The base salary is not inclusive of benefits or other incentives.
