What You’ll Do:
Define and execute a multi-year platform product strategy that aligns technology investments with business priorities and enterprise objectives.
Define and actively shape the platform portfolio, establishing clear product boundaries and identifying where First American should standardize, consolidate, build, buy, retire, or enable local flexibility to maximize reuse, enterprise leverage, and business value.
Lead a team of Product Managers and Product Leaders responsible for a portfolio of shared business and technology capabilities, including enterprise platforms and services, internal developer platforms, APIs and integrations, and other reusable capabilities that enable products and business teams across First American.
Partner closely with Engineering, Architecture, Security, Operations, and Business leaders to establish platform roadmaps and investment priorities.
Drive platform adoption across the organization by improving developer experience, self-service capabilities, onboarding experiences, and product usability.
Shape platform capabilities for an increasingly AI- and agent-enabled operating model, ensuring shared products and services are machine-consumable, observable, secure, and designed to reduce unnecessary human coordination and toil while enabling teams to move faster within appropriate guardrails.
Prioritize platform investments across competing demands, including new capabilities, scalability, reliability, security, technical debt, and operational excellence initiatives.
Establish measures of success and operational metrics that evaluate platform adoption, utilization, reliability, developer productivity, and business impact.
Lead cross-functional planning processes, ensuring platform strategies support both immediate business needs and long-term growth objectives.
Communicate platform vision, roadmap priorities, business cases, risks, and tradeoffs to executive stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
Build strong partnerships across product and technology organizations to identify opportunities for shared capabilities, standardization, and enterprise leverage.
Build and lead a high-performing product organization, developing Product Managers and Product Leaders who operate with clear ownership, strong judgment, and increasing strategic altitude. Establish clear decision rights and accountability while creating an operating rhythm that provides proactive visibility into portfolio outcomes, risks, dependencies, tradeoffs, and decisions needed from senior leadership.
What You’ll Bring:
10+ years of Product Management experience, including leadership responsibility for platform, technology, infrastructure, developer, or enterprise software products.
Demonstrated success developing and executing platform strategies that serve multiple products, business units, or customer segments.
Strong understanding of modern software development practices, cloud technologies, APIs, platform architectures, and enterprise technology ecosystems.
Proven ability to influence executive, business, and technology stakeholders without relying on direct authority.
Experience balancing strategic investments, customer needs, technical debt, operational excellence, reliability, security, and compliance requirements.
Strong business acumen with the ability to connect product investments to measurable business outcomes.
Exceptional communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills with experience presenting to senior leadership.
Experience with modern platform ecosystems such as cloud-native platforms, developer platforms, APIs and enterprise integrations, AI/agent-enabled capabilities, or other shared enterprise services, with demonstrated ability to translate emerging technology into scalable business and developer value.
Proven ability to influence executive, business, and technology stakeholders without relying on direct authority.
Demonstrated experience leading through other Product Managers and Product Leaders, creating clarity and accountability across a portfolio rather than relying on direct personal ownership of individual products.
Preferred experience within highly regulated, complex enterprise environments where security, compliance, reliability, and risk management are critical considerations.
This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
