OVERVIEW:

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Media Planning:

  • Develop and implement data-driven media strategies aligned with overall marketing goals, target audience segmentation, and brand/category positioning
  • Provide a portfolio lens of all enterprise banners and campaigns to manage audience and campaign overlap
  • Improve and build media planning processes to drive consistency across planning teams
  • Manage workload and prioritization of campaign launches with both internal stakeholders and agency team
  • Lead annual planning process, evolve planning methodologies and ensure all available data is utilized

Media Investment and Budget Management:

  • Provide enterprise investment strategy for the portfolio across various vendors and media partners to secure favorable pricing and placements across all channels
  • Manage media budgets efficiently, allocating funds across different platforms while optimizing ROAS at the enterprise level
  • Partner with Retail Media team to identify media investment synergies for Dick’s Sporting Goods as one company
  • Monitor and ensure CPMs are consistent across banners
  • Partner with finance for budget tracking and reporting

Campaign Execution and Optimization:

  • Oversee campaign execution with clear optimization levers based on aligned measurement framework
  • Coordinate with the Measurement and Audience team to utilize available data to activate key audiences, while monitoring data fees
  • Develop and implement real-time optimization process for all stakeholders to implement key decisions to improve KPIs
  • Collaborate with creative teams, agency teams, media operations to improve process and troubleshoot issues
  • Partner with media agency and internal teams to assist in the building of data dashboards

Developing Talent and Teammate Engagement:

  • Build effective teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals.
  • Manage execution responsibilities and workload of direct/indirect reports to achieve functional deliverables on time and with quality.
  • Provide direct reports with timely and regular feedback to support teammate development/ growth in role.
  • Develop talent on your team to meet both their career goals and the organization’s goals
  • Establish strategic staffing and succession plans; successfully deliver on proposed staffing objectives.
  • Drive the talent selection process in alignment with the company’s talent philosophy for open direct/indirect reporting positions; Ensure all direct reports are appropriately trained and on-boarded.
  • Drive engagement by creating a climate where people are motivated to do their best to help the organization achieve its objectives; focus on voice of teammate data (e.g., Engagement & Pulse results), partnering with organization leadership to drive necessary changes.
  • Lead and mentor a team of media/marketing experts, providing guidance on media strategy development, campaign execution, and performance optimization
  • Foster a collaborative environment within the media team, encouraging knowledge sharing and best practices
  • Champion media best practices and education within the broader marketing department
  • Collaborate with internal cross functional teams to ensure all available resources are utilized
  • Assist VP in building team capabilities and overall agency management

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 10-15 years experience in Team Leadership, Omnichannel Media Planning and Buying
  • Microsoft Outlook

  • Microsoft Excel

Targeted Pay Range: $153,700.00 - $285,300.00. This is part of a competitive total rewards package that could include other components such as: incentive, equity and benefits. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
