Job Description Summary:
The Coca-Cola Company is embarking on a Marketing Transformation to create the most engaging end-to-end consumer experience possible and bring superior innovation to every consumption moment. Since rich, proprietary data will be a key enabler of this acceleration, we are establishing a networked Marketing Data Strategy (MDS) team to define and execute a unified data strategy, aligned with the broader Enterprise Data Strategy.
The Marketing Data Domain Owner will be responsible for driving the MDS strategy and vision to support high-priority initiatives across the Marketing organization.
Key Accountabilities
- Data vision, strategy, and roadmap
- Define the high-level data vision and roadmap for the Marketing Domain to include KPIs, major initiatives, and milestones aligned with overall enterprise data strategy and business objectives
- Assess and prioritize business value, impact, and feasibility of Marketing Domain use case requests (e.g., new source integration, automation, analytics)
- Resource allocation
- Consult stakeholders / experts to estimate resource needs for Domain initiatives and use cases
- Secure allocation of funding to ensure that Marketing Domain initiatives and use cases are adequately supported and staffed to meet planned implementation timelines
- Process ownership
- Define data governance policies around sharing, usage, quality and access of Domain data
- Champion data fluency, capability building, and adoption of best practices within Domain
- Appoint teams to conduct use case data maturity assessment and develop high-level solutions
- Leadership, Stakeholder management and communication
- Lead a cross-functional team as main the owner of the program (4-6 people, no direct reports)
- Engage and align across network (incl. Marketing Domain, other Domains, and third-party partners) for integrated insights on project prioritization and the discovery of new use cases
- Facilitate change management, adoption, and delivery of overall roadmap
Experience & Background:
- Tenured Marketer: The candidate should have extensive experience in marketing, with a strong understanding of marketing strategies, consumer engagement and innovation.
- Strong Data Literacy Skills: The candidate should be proficient in handling data, including data analysis data governance, and data-driven decision-making.
- Mix of Technical / Business Experience: The candidate should have a blend of technical skills (related to data models, data integration, analytics) and business acumen (understanding of business needs, stakeholder management, and resource allocation).
- Experience with Senior Leadership: The candidate should have experience interfacing with senior leadership, including communicating complex ideas, flagging risks, and proposing mitigation plans.
- Preferred 10 Years of Related Experience: The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in roles related to marketing, data strategy, or a combination of technical and business roles relevant to the job description.
