The RoleThe Senior Director, Marketing & Communications Operations builds and leads the operating foundation that enables a modern, high-performing Marketing, Communications, and CSR organization at CCC. This role owns the shared services that power brand, creative, events, and digital marketing, and establishes the operating rhythm, team norms, and management systems that allow the organization to scale with clarity, consistency, and impact.
This leader is both a functional owner and an organizational integrator—ensuring teams are resourced effectively, work is prioritized transparently, and leaders have clear visibility into performance, progress, and constraints.
As Marketing, Communications, and CSR evolve into a strategic growth and narrative engine, this role ensures the operational discipline to turn strategy into sustained, high-quality execution. This role reports to the Vice President, Marketing, Communications & CSR and leads a team.


 

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing & Communications Shared Services Leadership

  • Own and evolve shared services that support the enterprise Marketing and Communications organization, ensuring these teams deliver high-quality, on-brand work with speed and consistency, and serve as strong partners to stakeholders—aligned to CCC’s growth and reputation goals including:

  • Creative services (design, motion, video)

  • Events strategy and execution

  • Digital marketing channels (web, social, email/digital communications) and performance analytics

Operating Model, Planning, and Program Management

Serve as the operational backbone of the Marketing, Communications & CSR organization by designing and leading core team operations. Establish a predictable operating rhythm (weekly, monthly, quarterly) that keeps teams focused on the highest-value work and reduces friction across functions. Responsibilities include:

  • Annual and quarterly planning

  • Program and project management across marketing and communications

  • Capacity planning, prioritization, and sequencing

  • Intake, resourcing, and workflow management

Process, Systems, and Measurement

Build and mature the operational infrastructure needed to support an integrated, full-funnel organization, including:

  • Standardized workflows, playbooks, and toolsets

  • Operational metrics, performance tracking, and reporting

  • Budget ownership and vendor management in partnership with Finance and Procurement

  • Foundations for data, analytics, and measurement capabilities

  • Support the evolution from a channel-based model to a connected, lifecycle-oriented engine through clear processes, shared standards, and measurable outcomes.

People Leadership and Talent Development

Lead a diverse set of managers and individual contributors across creative, events, and digital functions. Ensure teams feel supported, empowered, and connected to enterprise outcomes.

  • Set clear expectations, goals, and accountability

  • Coach leaders on prioritization, stakeholder management, and execution

  • Build a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and results


 

Requirements:
  • 12–15+ years of experience in marketing, communications, marketing operations, marcom operations, or agency operations
  • Experience in business-to-business, automotive, insurance, insuretech and/or SaaS preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Proven experience leading shared services or centralized teams in a complex organization
  • Strong operator mindset: planning, prioritization, process design, and execution rigor
  • Ability to balance structure with flexibility in a fast-moving environment
  • Credible partner to senior leaders; comfortable setting boundaries, making trade-offs, and driving change
  • Experience supporting brand, creative, digital, and/or communications teams strongly preferred
  • Hybrid. Travel less than 10%.
