Provide strategic, end-to-end business process, operations and technical guidance for IT application solutions by functional area. Manage and oversee the work of assigned IT operational team(s). Functional areas include: Quality, Global Supply Chain, Sales and Marketing, Finance, Shared Services, Clinicals, Labs, etc. IT Application Solutions examples include: Oracle JDE, Siemens PLM, Siemens MES, Salesforce.com, Oracle EBPCS, LIMS, and Reliance ETQ.
How you will make an impact:

  • Manage core IT comprehensive portfolio and individual contributors and managers to oversee enterprise-level functions and departments for Japan & Asia Pacific Region (JAPAC).
  • Direct, develop and plan enterprise-level information technology activities and provide thought leadership and guidance into the short and long-term business and technology plans for multiple assigned client groups. Additionally, provides subject expertise for assigned functional specialties across enterprise. Plan and own the technology strategy, architecture roadmap, IT investment plan and be accountable for delivery of IT programs along with production operations to deliver measurable business value by providing secure and compliant technology solutions as we transform Edwards into the digital future
  • Serve in an advisory role to management to analyze, formulate and provide comprehensive portfolio guidance for IT and Business Managed technology products & services, including financial management, service operations, consumption, security & risk compliance to execute enterprise-level projects, initiative and/or programs
  • Oversee enterprise-level strategic interface with assigned business units or functional area for the purpose of business technology strategy development, solution discovery, service management, risk management and relationship management.
  • Plan strategic and budgetary planning processes, prepare, and administer work unit operating budgets; provide recommendations on desired policies and goals and implement new/revised programs according to established guidelines

What you'll need (Requirements):

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in in related field with, 14 years years experience or Master's Degree or equivalent in in related field, 12 years years experience of previous related experience is required.
  • Experience in vendor relations and negotiations for software development and application services is required.
  • Experience working within the medical device or pharmaceutical industries is preferred.
  • Experience working in a large manufacturing company is preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to direct IT teams and provide coaching and feedback, including responsibility for all employee actions including hire/fire authority and partnering with HR on all aspects of employee relations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related tools and systems
  • Certification in related discipline required
  • Proven successful project management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills including high discretion/judgment in decision making
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
  • Recognized as an expert within IT specialty and/or major business units and broader organization with broad-based expertise across area and related functions
  • Expert understanding of IT procedures with extensive and detailed knowledge of company allowing for innovative concepts and promoting new ideas
  • Expert understanding of related aspects of in IT applications and technology
  • Expert knowledge of financial mechanism that relates to IT applications
  • Expert knowledge current technological trends and ability to apply to the future vision
  • Ability to develop and integrate metrics into the projects and operations that clearly demonstrate the value of IT to the business
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
