Manages the Product Portfolio and defines the overall strategy and roadmap of the product, solution and/or service portfolio elements assigned.

The Senior Director, Global Marketing – Head of Laboratory Automation is accountable for the global strategy, portfolio leadership, and commercialization of laboratory automation solutions, including Total Lab Automation (TLA), Integrated Automation, and Task-Targeted Automation.
Reporting into senior global marketing leadership, this role shapes portfolio direction and go-to-market execution for a critical growth platform within Core Lab Diagnostics. This position operates at a global, enterprise level, partnering closely with R&D, systems, informatics, medical, and commercial organizations to deliver differentiated, profitable automation solutions worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Global Portfolio Leadership: Own the global marketing strategy and lifecycle management of the laboratory automation portfolio, ensuring alignment with enterprise growth priorities, regional needs, and evolving customer workflows.

  • Customer & Market Insight: Lead structured insight generation across stakeholders, from laboratorians, hospital executives, health systems, and reference labs, to inform portfolio strategy, value propositions, and roadmap prioritization.

  • Competitive Strategy & Differentiation: Define competitive positioning and commercial differentiation through deep analysis of market dynamics, competitor offerings, and industry trends. Lead global workstreams across segmentation, pricing strategy, value messaging, and go-to-market orchestration.

  • Cross-Functional Influence: Partner with R&D, systems, informatics, medical, and operations teams to translate market needs into clear product requirements, ensuring scalable, differentiated, and economically viable offerings.

  • Global Go-to-Market & Launch Excellence: Develop and execute global marketing and launch strategies, delivering market-ready tools, messaging, and campaigns that enable strong regional adoption and commercial performance.

  • Leadership & Talent Development: Lead and develop a global marketing team, setting strategic direction, building capability, and fostering a high-performance, accountability-driven culture.

  • Portfolio Evolution: Drive ongoing refinement of positioning and portfolio strategy by incorporating stakeholder feedback, tracking performance, and anticipating future trends in laboratory automation.

Qualifications & Expertise:

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in marketing, product management, or strategy within medical devices or diagnostics; laboratory automation experience strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated success leading global teams and influencing stakeholders within complex, matrixed organizations.

  • Proven experience across commercial operations, product development, and global product launches.

  • Deep knowledge of Core Lab Diagnostics with a track record of driving portfolio and measurable business impact.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, engineering, or a related discipline required; MBA strongly preferred.

  • Willingness to travel up to 15%.

The base pay range for this position is:

$212,730 - $292,501

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
