The Role

You will be the Senior Director of Finance for the Global Planning, Sourcing and Logistics team (GPS&L)

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Leadership: Lead a Global team based in California, Switzerland, Singapore and Costa Rica
  • Business Partnership: Serve as a key strategic partner to the SVP of GPS&L and member of the GPS&L leadership team
  • Financial Planning, Analysis and Reporting: Ownership of annual operating plan, strategic plan financials and forecasting with a focus on continuous improvements to meet changing business needs.  
  • Communication and Presentation: Preparation and ownership of the Executive Leadership Team reviews and presentations
  • Strategy/KOD Execution: Partner with Business Leaders to define and drive KOD achievement and strategy execution. Own Value Improvement Projects business case and value realization tracking and reporting for internal dashboard
  • Month-End Close and Reporting: Manage month-end close and guide the team to ensure accurate, timely financial reports in line with Edwards’ policies.
  • Inventory Excess and Obsolescence (E&O) Management: Establish E&O management strategy, governance and reporting of global inventory across manufacturing plants, distribution centers and customer consignment locations
  • Process Improvement: Drive financial process efficiency and simplification

What you'll need (Required):

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience based on Edwards criteria

What else we look for (Preferred):

  • Master's Degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance with previous work related experience and skill levels exceeding the requirements of the Senior Manager or equivalent work experience based on Edwards criteria
  • Global Supply Chain Finance or Cost Accounting background
  • MBA, CPA or CMA
  • Global experience
  • Ability to provide leadership and talent development
  • Proven track record of working matrix environment
  • Superior business partner with ability to interpret results and provide insights
  • Excellent presentation, communication and collaboration skills
  • Proactive with an aptitude to optimize processes and influence change

 

Aligning our overall business objectives with performance, we offer competitive salaries, performance-based incentives, and a wide variety of benefits programs to address the diverse individual needs of our employees and their families.
For California (CA), the base pay range for this position is $173,000 to $245,000 (highly experienced).
The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience).  Applications will be accepted while this position is posted on our Careers website.
