The Role
The Senior Director of Finance will lead Corporate FP&A, focusing on enterprise-wide planning, performance management, and systems transformation, partnering with executives to drive financial performance.
Summary Generated by Built In
We are seeking an exceptional Senior Director of Finance to lead Corporate FP&A at Arm. This role serves as a central leader within the CFO organization, responsible for architecting and scaling how the company plans, measures, and drives financial performance.
Corporate FP&A is an enterprise-wide finance function that integrates planning, consolidation, operational finance, and systems into a single, scalable operating model. This role partners directly in collaboration alongside the CFO, the CEO's executive group, and upper management to align strategy, ownership, and financial outcomes across the company.
This role does not follow the traditional FP&A leadership format. The finance leadership role is passionate about enterprise-wide operations and developing a unified reference point. It helps enable faster, improved decisions and encourages accountability across Arm's global business.
Success requires a combination of critical thinking, operational difficulty, systems approach, and the ability to influence across a sophisticated, fast-scaling organization!
Responsibilities:
Enterprise Planning and Financial Architecture
  • Own and evolve Arm's enterprise planning framework, bringing together long-range planning, annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and close into one unified, coherent system!
  • Establish and maintain a single source of truth across planning, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Drive alignment between strategy, financial plans, and operational execution across business units and functions.
  • Lead enterprise-wide scenario planning to support executive decision-making and resource distribution.

Operating Rhythm and Performance Management
  • Be responsible for the company's financial operating cadence, including planning cycles, forecast updates, and executive review forums.
  • Drive clear performance responsibility throughout the organization, linking financial outcomes to ownership and execution.
  • Simplify decision forums and ensure the right financial representation at the right level to accelerate execution.
  • Deliver high-quality, decision-ready insights to the finance head, the chief executive's circle, and executive leadership.

Systems, Data, and Process Transformation
  • Lead the evolution of finance systems, data architecture, and planning tools to support scale, automation, and accuracy.
  • Standardize and simplify financial processes, eliminating duplication, manual work, and shadow reporting.
  • Drive adoption of system-led planning and reporting, reducing reliance on offline models and fragmented data sources.
  • Leverage automation and AI to improve efficiency and accelerate decision velocity.

Enterprise Partnership and Influence
  • Partner with the CFO, CEO Office, and senior functional leaders to support enterprise-level priorities, including growth, cost difficulty, and capital allocation.
  • Act as a connector across Business Unit finance teams, ensuring consistency, alignment, and transparency of financial narratives.
  • Provide independent, data-driven challenge on investments, resource allocation, and performance outcomes.
  • Support external-facing financial narratives in partnership with Investor Relations and senior finance leadership.

Team Leadership and Organizational Build
  • Build and lead a high-performing finance team across planning, consolidation, systems, and operational finance.
  • Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability across the finance organization.
  • Attract, develop, and retain top talent, establishing a team capable of operating at enterprise scale.
  • Develop a culture of ownership, difficulty, clarity, and continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Experience :
  • 15+ years of dynamic finance leadership experience in global, sophisticated organizations.
  • Deep experience in corporate FP&A, enterprise planning, or finance transformation roles.
  • Consistent track record of building and scaling planning processes, financial systems, and operating cadences.
  • Experience partnering with senior executives and influencing enterprise-level decisions.
  • Strong understanding of financial consolidation, planning, and oversight of results in a public company environment.
  • Proven track record to develop and guide high-performing teams through periods of growth and change.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate through ambiguity, simplify complexity, drive accountability, and improve decision-making at scale.
  • Exceptional communication skills and executive presence.

"Nice To Have" Skills and Experience :
  • Experience in semiconductor, technology, or high-growth infrastructure businesses.
  • Background in finance transformation, systems implementation, or data architecture.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled finance tools and modern planning platforms.
  • MBA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent experience.

Technical and Analytical Toolkit
  • Strong financial modeling and scenario planning capabilities.
  • Deep understanding of planning systems, data structures, and financial processes.
  • Ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights for executive audiences.
  • Comfort demonstrating automation and AI to improve finance workflows and decision-making.
