Team Overview
The Business Development team identifies and develops growth opportunities, strategic partnerships, market expansion initiatives, and transformation programs that strengthen TransUnion’s competitive position and long-term growth. This role will focus primarily on Chile while collaborating with regional and enterprise stakeholders to align local opportunities with broader business priorities. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.Role Overview And Core Responsibilities
- Lead the business development strategy for Chile, aligning local growth priorities with regional objectives and enterprise strategy.
- Identify, evaluate, and advance new revenue opportunities, adjacent markets, strategic partnerships, and expansion initiatives in Chile.
- Develop and present business cases that support investment decisions, sustainable growth, and competitive market positioning.
- Evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, alliances, and other strategic transactions relevant to the Chilean market.
- Assess the commercial, financial, operational, and legal implications of proposed transactions in partnership with the appropriate functional teams.
- Support post-transaction integration plans, monitor the realization of expected business synergies, and escalate execution risks.
- Lead transformation and integration initiatives involving Chile, coordinating effectively across business units, functions, and regional stakeholders.
- Establish an operating rhythm for reviewing the opportunity pipeline, strategic initiatives, investment priorities, budgets, risks, and expected business outcomes.
- Build executive-level relationships with customers, partners, and senior internal stakeholders to strengthen TransUnion’s position in Chile.
- Monitor market trends, competitive developments, and relevant industry practices to inform growth strategy and improve commercial execution.
- Influence cross-functional teams and promote accountability, disciplined execution, collaboration, and innovation.
Required Knowledge And Experiences
- Significant leadership experience in business development, corporate strategy, commercial growth, strategic partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, or enterprise transformation within financial services, technology, consulting, software solutions, or another relevant industry.
- Demonstrated experience developing business cases, assessing investment opportunities, and translating strategic priorities into executable commercial plans.
- Experience leading complex initiatives across multiple functions and stakeholders, including transformation or integration programs.
- Strong knowledge of go-to-market strategy, commercial growth models, financial analysis, negotiation, and executive stakeholder management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional knowledge and experience.
- Advanced financial analysis, business-case development, and financial modeling capabilities to evaluate strategic and commercial opportunities.
- Ability to develop, review, and defend investment proposals, strategic plans, associated budgets, and expected P&L impacts.
- Executive-level presentation, negotiation, and written communication skills.
- Professional fluency in English.
- MBA or another relevant postgraduate qualification.
- Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, alliances, or post-acquisition integrations.
- Familiarity with regulated financial-services, information-services, technology, or data-driven solutions.
- Experience working with regional or global teams while maintaining clear ownership of country-level priorities.
- Knowledge of additional LATAM markets or languages.
