In addition, you will advance the responsible use of AI-enabled design workflows and tooling to inspire outstanding work that will increase the creative dividend of the Philips brand—driving distinctiveness, consistency and emotional resonance at greater speed and scale.

Your role:

  • Set the creative direction and lead the evolution of Philips’ visual identity:

    • Define and evolve Philips' global visual identity, ensuring it reflects the brand strategy, business priorities and our purpose.

    • Shape identity principles, standards and creative direction that help Philips show up more clearly, distinctively and consistently across markets, businesses and touchpoints.

    • Provide creative direction on high-impact work, helping teams and partners translate brand strategy into compelling, high-quality execution.

    • Shape visual storytelling for major corporate initiatives, executive communications, launches and global brand moments.

    • Shape brand expression for high-visibility customer events and experience programs, ensuring strong objectives, clear messaging and measurable impact.

    • Encourage thoughtful experimentation, fresh creative thinking, use audience insight, performance data and outside-in creative trends to continuously strengthen Philips' brand expression and design impact.

  • Build and lead a high-performing human-led, AI powered team; strengthen stakeholder collaboration and agency partnerships:

    • Lead, inspire and develop a global design team, creating a high-performing culture of collaboration, learning, innovation and delivery excellence.

    • Partner with Brand Management to shape the creative direction for the Philips brand and influence how it is expressed across priority touchpoints and moments.

    • Partner with senior stakeholders across Communications & Brand, Business and Regional Marketing, and relevant enabling functions and centers of excellence to align Philips’ visual identity and brand experience with business strategy.

    • Create practical tools, guidance, AI-enabled processes and implement ways of working that help teams and partners deliver impactful brand expression with greater speed and confidence.

    • Manage relationships with external creative agencies, design partners and specialist suppliers, building partnerships that raise quality and creative ambition.

    • Oversee budgets, resources, priorities and operating rhythms supporting global brand identity initiatives, with clear accountability and delivery discipline.

You're the right fit if you have a:

  • Bachelor's/ Master's Degree in Business Administration, Communications, Liberal Arts, Marketing, Brand Management or equivalent.

  • 12-15+ years of experience in brand design, visual identity or creative leadership, within a complex enterprise brand or a top-tier creative agency.

  • A strong portfolio demonstrating world-class brand identity work and leadership of large-scale visual identity programs.

  • Proven experience shaping global brand expression across multiple businesses, regions, channels and customer touchpoints.

  • Led global, multidisciplinary teams and successfully managed senior external agency and partner relationships.

  • Strong creative leadership with deep expertise in brand identity, storytelling, typography, layout, visual language and end-to-end brand experience, with a track record of raising creative standards across touchpoints.

  • The ability to communicate with clarity and confidence at executive level, turn ambiguity into direction and complex ideas into compelling narrative; combined with strong creative vision to influence across a complex organization.

  • Practical AI-proficiency, strong curiosity about emerging creative technologies and comfortable defining responsible ways of working for design teams.

  • An enterprise mindset, balancing one-brand thinking with the needs of businesses and markets.

  • Experience leading and developing global, multidisciplinary teams, with the ability to create common goals, clear standards and a collaborative team culture.

  • Strong experience managing senior external agency, design partner and specialist supplier relationships.
