Job Description:

Senior Director, Augmented Enterprise Design

Are you ready to be a primary architect of the future of work at a global leader? At Mars, we're seeking a visionary Senior Director to build and lead our Augmented Enterprise Design Practice. This role serves the product lines within the Global Demand Analytics, Digital & Data team, acting as a strategic partner to accelerate their success.

Moving beyond traditional automation, you will champion a revolutionary "outcome-back" approach. Your mission is to act as a strategic thought partner to our business leaders, looking at a desired outcome and helping to reinvent the process to achieve it with AI and agentic technologies at the core.

You will guide this transformation by designing intelligent information flows and frictionless experiences, combining process architecture, data architecture, and associate experience design to create new ways of working. In this supporting role, you will shape the "jobs of the future" by advising the business on how roles will evolve, ensuring our associates are empowered and brought along on the AI journey. By establishing a central practice of design experts, you will provide the strategic blueprints that empower our product teams, helping to lead a paradigm shift in how we apply technology and augment human capability at Mars.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12–15+ years of leadership experience across Marketing, Sales, Analytics, or Digital transformation.
  • Proven leadership in business and information architecture with a strong focus on human-centric design and user experience.
  • Deep familiarity with Sales, Commerce, Marketing, Consumer Engagement, and Analytics ecosystems.
  • Experience leading a Center of Excellence (COE) or a similar chapter model, deploying expert talent into agile product teams.
  • A track record of driving large-scale adoption of new capabilities through exceptional change management skills.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to translate complex architectural concepts into clear business impact and growth narratives.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Reinvent Processes with an Outcome-Back Approach: Guide business units to define key outcomes, then design entirely new, AI-native processes to meet them, considering how data (structured and unstructured) must flow and connect.
  • Lead Human-Centric Change Management: Proactively address the human impact of AI by defining the "jobs of the future." Advise leadership on how roles (e.g., Account Manager) will evolve, reducing associate anxiety and encouraging adoption by creating a clear vision for their future value.
  • Integrate Design Disciplines: Lead the synthesis of process, information, data architecture, and experience design to create holistic, intelligent, and user-friendly workflows that are deployed across product teams.
  • Architect Intelligent Information Flows: Architect and champion the semantic standards and data interpretation required for a frictionless and responsive enterprise, ensuring data fuels intelligent action.
  • Drive Phased Deployment and Scalability: Initially lead a small, focused team to embed within 2-3 business units, defining problem statements and delivering high-impact solutions that demonstrate the value of this new approach.
  • Champion the Associate Experience: Act as the primary advocate for the associate, ensuring the design of new systems is intuitive and that our people are supported through the change journey.
  • Build and Lead a Center of Excellence: Establish a robust Practice of process, information, and experience design experts, influencing outcomes in a highly matrixed environment.

What can you expect from Mars?

  • Work with diverse and talented Associates, all guided by the Five Principles.
  • Join a purpose driven company, where we’re striving to build the world we want tomorrow, today.
  • Best-in-class learning and development support from day one, including access to our in-house Mars University.
  • An industry competitive salary and benefits package, including company bonus.
