Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Lead and Solutions Architect to spearhead our technical initiatives, transitioning multiple systems into the AWS cloud environment. This role involves leading the migration of containerized microservices using Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and various databases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth migration to the cloud.
- Leading the technical migration of multiple systems into the AWS cloud environment
- Designing and implementing scalable and secure architectures for containerized microservices using Kubernetes
- Developing and maintaining Elasticsearch clusters and associated databases
- Designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery processes
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI with Poly
- Twenty (20) years' experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity within the Federal Government is required
- A Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
- Proven experience in leading cloud migration projects, specifically to AWS
- Experience with Linux server security and administration
- Strong expertise in containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch and database management
- Proficiency in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline
- Experience with enterprise GIS software and its migration to the cloud is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer are preferred
The estimated salary range for this position is between $220,000.00 and $270,000.00 (annualized USD). This range reflects the typical pay for the role and is one part of the company's comprehensive compensation package. Actual salaries are influenced by several factors, such as location, the individual’s education, skills, experience, and competencies, as well as contract affordability and organizational needs.
