The opportunity:  DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical part in our platform’s infrastructure and deployment pipeline. Your expertise will be essential in designing, implementing, and maintaining our DevOps infrastructure, supporting our software development teams. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will drive automation, scalability, and security in all aspects of our technology stack.

Given that most of our team is in The Netherlands, we only consider candidates for this position who are currently based in the Netherlands within commuting distance to our office in Amsterdam.

What you will be doing in this role:

  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining our DevOps infrastructure.

  • Managing the deployment, automation, and configurations of our applications.

  • Establishing and sustaining comprehensive monitoring protocols for all elements within our infrastructure.

  • Collaborating harmoniously with the development and quality assurance teams, safeguarding our system’s robustness, scalability, and security.

  • Implementing and administering systems that proactively identify and resolve issues through vigilant monitoring and alert mechanisms.

  • Maintaining and improving our build and deployment processes.

  • Developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation of our systems and processes.

  • Mentoring and training junior team members of the DevOps team.

  • Staying up to date with the latest trends and technology in the DevOps area.

This is the right opportunity for you if you:

  • Have 3+ years of experience in DevOps or any related field.

  • Are proficient with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP)

  • Have experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.

  • Have a thorough understanding of infrastructure-as-code concepts and tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.

  • Have experience automating the deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications using technologies like Kubernetes

  • Have hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and related tools such as GitHub Actions, Gitlab or CircleCI.

  • Possess strong proactive problem-solving skills and can work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Hold excellent verbal and written communication skills (in English), to convey ideas and to facilitate discussions.

Our current tech stack

  • We are fully cloud-native, utilizing AWS. We adopt a Lean, API first product development approach leveraging cloud technologies and design practices.

  • Our web front-end applications are developed predominantly in Angular, using TypeScript / Wordpress headless content management systems.

  • Our platform technologies, both microservice and AI, are developed in Python.

  • We also foster a rapidly growing expertise in knowledge graphs (Neo4j) and database technologies (SQL, NoSQL restful etc.). In addition, we develop human-in-the-loop machine learning for healthcare in-house, such as LLMs and other NLP techniques.

What success looks like in the first 6 months:

  • You’ve built trust with Product, Frontend, and DevOps peers and taken clear ownership of 1–2 backend services.

  • You’ve delivered impactful backend features end-to-end (design, implementation, tests, docs), and they’re used in production without hand-holding.

  • You’ve contributed to our core infrastructure in Kubernetes by containerizing at least three services and deploying it via GitHub Actions and Terraform.

  • You’ve improved the reliability and performance of our platform by adding meaningful observability (metrics, logs, tracing) and removing one or two top sources of errors or latency.

  • You’ve strengthened security in a service (e.g., authorization boundaries, secrets management, least-privilege access) and documented the approach.

  • You’ve written clear technical documentation and ADRs, shared knowledge with the team, and provided mentorship to junior engineers so others can build on your work.

What we offer

  • Impactful work that helps patients gain access to potentially lifesaving treatments.

  • International work environment, scale-up energy and flat organizational structure which encourages creativity and accountability.

  • Competitive salary, annual performance bonus and an Employee Stock Option Plan.

  • Great career development opportunities in a fast-growing company.

  • Learning and development budget alongside internal knowledge sharing sessions.

  • Attractive pension plan, full premium covered by myTomorrows.

  • Hybrid working model.

  • Policies to support working parents.

  • Healthy lunch at the thriving Amsterdam office.

  • Unlimited access to professional guidance by certified psychologists via OpenUp

  • Enjoy monthly events hosted by our vibrant Culture Club as well as an annual ‘myTomorrowland’ company-wide celebration!

What We Do

Our mission is to enable earlier and better access to all possible treatment options. We aim to break barriers for eligible patients to receive information on and enroll in clinical trials and expanded access programs by providing a single digital platform to connect all stakeholders of pre-approval access.

Patients and physicians come to us to stay informed about clinical trials and expanded access programs and guidance on how to access them. Our Patient Navigators are an essential point of contact for patients during their entire journey. We always provide these services free of charge to them.

We support BioPharma companies by making their clinical trials and expanded access programs more accessible. We charge BioPharma companies for our services, which include supporting clinical trial recruitment and managing international expanded access programs, logistics, quality management, distribution, and real-world data collection.

myTomorrows has offices in Amsterdam, New York City and India, and operates globally. We have helped over 14,000 patients and 2,200 physicians and over 200 sites worldwide.
